Here’s wishing a very happy Navratri and festive season to all. Let’s proceed with my review on Molton Brown Heavenly Gingerlily Caressing Body Polisher. It is a gel-based body polisher. It has Tahitian sand which gently massages the skin and the gel transforms into a silky milk which makes the skin soft, flawless and smooth. Packaging:
It comes packaged in a tinted mandarin coloured glass tub with a metal coloured screw open cap. A white coloured inner lid is provided which fits securely. It can be termed travel-friendly. The packaging did not fail to impress me.

My Experience with Molton Brown Heavenly Gingerlily Caressing Body Polisher:

I generally tend to buy and use creamy body exfoliators with very mild granules, which gently exfoliate and help keep my skin clean, nourished and pampered. Since this was my first body polisher from Molton Brown, I opted for a smaller size. It’s a brownish-green coloured scrub which has Tahitian volcanic sand. It is blended with the aromas of cardamom and ginger, and is enriched with Tamanu nut oil and moisturising lily extract.

Volcanic sand from Tahiti is a natural exfoliator. It is known for its detoxifying and purifying properties. Tamanu nut oil is known to benefit, protect and cure skin in many ways. It is anti-ageing and a natural treatment for acne. It helps reduce and prevent acne scars, age spots and stretch marks. Ginger lily oil has fresh flowery, minty and sweet ginger like notes. It is a good skin moisturiser that leaves the skin rejuvenated and smooth. Ginger lily oil is antibiotic, antispasmodic and antidepressant. It tones and rejuvenates the skin and reduces inflammation. It is suitable for all skin types and is especially good for dry and dehydrated skin. When I first opened the bottle, I could sense a beautiful aroma.

The fragrance is indeed lovely; it’s a perfect blend of aromas which is both relaxing and refreshing. The scrub is gel-based, consistency is semi-solid, not thick but neither runny. It has mild granules which initially appear very soft and smooth and oily. However, once I start exfoliating my skin with this body polisher, the granules become coarse and do their job of polishing the skin thoroughly. The gel, as claimed, transforms into a white silky substance which cares for the skin and helps the coarse granules spread evenly whilst polishing the skin. But if I am not careful while scrubbing or use a heavy hand, these granules tend to scratch sometimes.

Please note it is strictly mentioned on the tub not to use this scrub on the face. It does not dry or dehydrate my skin or cause any irritations. My skin feels thoroughly cleansed, polished, smoother, firmer and younger. However, in my opinion, a body lotion or a mild moisturiser should be applied after using this scrub. Very sensitive skin type which is not used to coarse or rough body polisher can skip this one. Please note that I belong to the sensitive skin type, but this suited me quite well even though I could feel a sensation on my skin whilst exfoliating; it is similar to rubbing a sandpaper against the skin.
