My Experience with Montagne Jeunesse 7th Heaven Charcoal Masque:
I have combination skin and it is really difficult to find products that combat both dryness and oiliness at the same time. Of late, my skin is getting oilier and I have been looking for products that combat oil and knowing the benefits of charcoal for face, I picked up this mask.
The packaging is quite simple and similar to the packaging of other Montagne Jeunesse products. The product comes in a 15 gm sachet packet. It can also be an ideal travel companion on those long trips when you need to keep your skin clean and fresh. The mask is grey in colour and smells like clay and can be used once on neck and face. It also contains walnut shell kernels and thus acts as a 2-in-1 mask that also exfoliates the skin. So, this is a perfect mask for combination skin. While the mask removes oiliness, the shell particles remove dead skin cells.
This mask is easy to apply, it is clay like and hence easy to spread on the face. The mask takes approximately 15-20 minutes to dry. This mask once dry can be a little messy to remove, but I wet my face and scrub the mask so that the shell particles provide the much-needed exfoliation for my skin.
The scrub particles are not very harsh but for sensitive skin it can cause a little bit of redness. The 2 in 1 mask is a perfect choice for the days when you do not have time to scrub and apply a mask. The charcoal and black lava helps in absorbing excess oil on the face and the walnut scrub particles helps in removing dry and dead skin cells from the face.
The mask as it claims, removes oiliness from my T zone and keeps it that for the whole day, and I didn’t encounter any oiliness on my face for the whole day. I have also noticed that the whiteheads that I have below my lips on the chin and near the corner of my nose were completely gone. The mask also brightens up the face and adds a subtle glow on the face.
This mask can be a good option when you have a party and do not have enough time to go to a salon. As claimed, it is a ready to go mask. The mask also contains clay and thus can dry out the skin a bit and has to be followed up with a moisturizer. Overall, a very good innovative idea of putting together a mask and an exfoliator together.
