I am back with another review of my current favourite Montagne Jeunesse. I have realised that products from this brand are a good investment for my skin. I think they are excellent value, travel friendly and a fun way of giving your face a range of pampering treats as you can do mud one week, warming another, cloth another etc., with all the different types of masques they have to offer. My struggle for getting ready for summer is still on. This time I am trying a self warming mask. I have never tried a self warming mask before. Let’s see what this particular mask did for my skin. So, today I am reviewing Montagne Jeunesse Hot Spring Sauna Mask.

Description:

Montage Jeunesse Hot Spring Sauna Mask contains volcanic spring powder and ginger. Opens up the pores for deep cleanse. It comes in the typical sachet packaging. You can see the claim and ingredients in the pictures.

Price:

£1 for 15 g (0.5 fl oz)

Instructions and Ingredients:

Cleanse the face with water and leave wet. Massage over face. Relax for 10-15 minutes. Rinse off.

My Experience with Montagne Jeunesse Hot Spring Sauna Mask:

The mask is light orange in colour and smells like ginger. The smell is not too strong just a hint of it. I find it pleasant. The consistency of the mask is more on the liquid side but not runny. It contains tiny exfoliating particles which you could feel while massaging it on the skin. You can see the fine particles in the picture. These are not too harsh for the skin. I washed my face with water and applied the mask on my damp face as instructed. Now after applying I could feel the warming sensation on my skin. It continues for a few minutes and then vanishes. I didn’t feel any tingling.

I washed it off after 10 minutes before letting it dry out completely. The mask comes off easily with water and the tiny particles gave a nice exfoliation to the skin. My skin was feeling soft and smooth. It definitely cleanse up the pores. I don’t have black heads but had a few white heads on my nose which were cleared off. It felt that all the dead cells and impurities were cleaned off. It left my skin fresh and radiant .I must say it did live up to its claim. The ginger smell stays for sometime.

I liked the pleasant ginger scent and the warming up experience which was new to me. But I feel it’s not suitable for sensitive skin people. Honestly speaking, warming up mask which exfoliates sounds like a deadly combination to me. I also want to try other heat up masks which don’t have exfoliating particles.

• Some people may not like the smell.
• Not suitable for all skin types.

Would I repurchase/recommend Montagne Jeunesse Hot Spring Sauna Mask?

May be not. I like the warming up experience but combined with exfoliating particles it may not suit all skin types. I would like to try other variants from Montagne Jeunesse as summer is approaching and would like to try more fresh scents and cooling masks.
