Happy Friday and happy weekend 🙂 Summer has just started in Australia and the past few days have been quite hot. I had to temporarily give up coffee and switch to fruit juice. I have also tweaked my skin care and body care routines to suit the weather. I have started to use some ayurvedic skin care products I picked up in Kerala last year and started using cooling face packs. I will be reviewing a Montagne Jeunesse face mask today. I have tried quite a few products from this brand and find the quality to be pretty consistent. I have used cream based, mud and self heating masks as well as a few peel off masks. I purchased a few masks recently after a long time. I picked up mostly peel off masks as I felt it will be good for the current weather. I will be reviewing the tropical peel off mask today, which comes in a tottle.
Product Description and Claims:
Revitalising and rejuvenating, this exotic mix of fruits will give your skin an energy injection. Red Grape, Noni Fruit and juicy Mango work to revitalise and cleanse pores, lifting away impurities and dead skin cells, revealing a more glowing and radiant you.
Aloe vera, evening primrose, green tea, mango, noni fruit, red grapes.
How To Apply:
Cleanse face and dry. Apply thinly and evenly over face and neck with fingertips, avoiding eyes, lips and hair. Relax for 10-20 minutes or when totally dry gently peel off masque (never pull) wash off any stuck bits with water. Pat dry. Use weekly.
My Experience with Montagne Jeunesse Tropical Peel Off Cleansing Masque:
Only a handful of Montagne Jeunesse face masks come in tottles, this is one of them. This comes in a tottle (which is a cross between a bottle and a tube) with a flip top cap. The mask is of bright yellow colour and transparent, smells very much of mangoes and slightly of green tea. I applied this on my clean damp skin and left it on for around 20 minutes. Like any other peel off mask, the important part is applying an even layer throughout the face.
The mango scent smells luscious and it has a real tropical feel, reminded me of islands and tropical holidays. I have never seen/tasted/smelt noni fruit, but I know Miranda Kerr swears by it, so there must be something special about noni fruit. Peeling it off was a breeze expect for parts near my hairline. My face felt soft and supple and there was a glow. This did not leave my combination skin dry. After this mask, I applied facial moisturizer and the glow from this face mask lasted all day but that’s all, not longer. I also felt my pores were less visible on the day after applying the face mask.
Pros of Montagne Jeunesse Tropical Peel Off Cleansing Masque:
- Makes skin soft , supple and clears dead skin.
- Skin is left with a temporary glow.
- Montagne Jeunesse products do not contain harmful ingredients or parabens.
- Smells tropical and luscious.
- This brand does not test on animals.
- Good value for money as this comes in a tottle and not a sachet.
Cons of Montagne Jeunesse Tropical Peel Off Cleansing Masque:
- Nothing really.
I will first have to finish the masks I purchased recently before repurchasing this.
