I picked four shades from the MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer range – Atomic, Criminal, Serene and Tranquility. Today’s review is on the shade Tranquility. Read on to know about this beautiful shade.

My Experience with MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer – Tranquility:

The lip colour comes in a velvety matte finish black-coloured cardboard packaging. The outer packaging has all the details about the product written at its back. The lip lacquer tube is frosted with a matte black-coloured screw on cap. The cap has the brand name in gold like other MUA products. This gold tagline looks truly luxurious on the matte cap. The packaging is sleek, elegant and travel friendly.

The applicator is a typical doe-foot applicator. The applicator wand is neither too long nor too short. It picks up the right amount of lip colour that is required for one application. The shade name is mentioned at the base of the tube.

Tranquility is a nude brown shade. It is somewhere between peach and brown. This warmer nude shade will suit so many skin tones. Most of the nude shades wash me out badly but this one goes on my skin tone very well. The lip colour is decently pigmented and gives close to opaque coverage in one swipe. The texture of the lip lacquer is soft, smooth and velvety. It is easy to apply and glides on the lips smoothly. It does not stain the lips at all. I did not find any staining of the lips with the deeper shades like Atomic and Criminal. The lip lacquer sets to a beautiful matte finish but it takes too long to dry. It doesn’t make lips dry.

The lip lacquer lasts for a good 6-7 hours without any meals and little touch ups. But it chips from the center with oily food. And reapplication becomes difficult with it. It is waterproof, smudgeproof and transferproof. You will need a good oil based makeup remover to take off the product completely. Overall, I am impressed with the quality of the product at this price.
