My Experience with MUA Rhapsody Palette:

Packaging: The palette comes in a beautiful black plastic packaging with a clear lid. It looks so pretty! And, instead of a useless eyeshadow applicator, MUA has provided an angled eyeshadow brush with the palette. This lightweight packaging is totally travel-friendly. But this packaging doesn’t carry any mirror, which is sad.

Shades: This range has two variants and I have the variant ‘Rhapsody’. One palette contains 10 eyeshadows and one face highlighting, and one bronzer shade. Here I am discussing the each shade. I am starting with the first row of the eye shades. Since these shades do not have any numbers or names, I have numbered them for your convenience.

MUA Rhapsody Palette Shades

Shade 1: It is a beautiful champagne shade with micro shimmers. It works perfectly as a highlighting shade.
Shade 2: It’s a very pretty light shimmery peach shade and it looks so fresh. A perfect daily-wear, summery shade.
Shade 3: A very natural-looking matte brown shade that acts as a n*de base color for my tanned skin tone, and it also helps to lightly define my crease.
Shade 4: This gorgeous matte plum shade is one my favorite shadows, and it looks absolutely amazing on the eyes.
Shade 5: A medium matte brown shade that works perfectly on the crease and also works decently as a regular shade.
Shade 6: This is, again, a light pinky-beige highlighting shade which contains fine shimmers.
Shade 7: This particular shade is a little difficult to explain. It is actually a mixture of brown and grey with a hint of plum. It looks very edgy on the eyes.
Shade 8: This is another gorgeous shade. It is actually a metallic raspberry plum shade with some noticeable shimmers in it. It looks perfect on the outer corners when I use it to define my eyes.
Shade 9: Next is a very shiny lilac shade that also looks very pretty on the eyes.
Shade 10: This final shade is a fresh white shimmery highlighting shade that works beautifully to provide that nice shine.
Face shade: There is one light creamy beige highlighter shade and one metallic bronzer shade. Both the shades look very nice on my medium skin tone. The bronzer won’t work on darker skin tones, though.

Pigmentation: This palette offers a very nice mix of shimmery and matte shades, which I really like. All the shimmery shades are decently pigmented but the matte shades are a little less pigmented. These shades need more swipes for the true color to show up on skin. But, overall, I can build up the color easily. Also, the face shades are quite good and they are decently pigmented. The face shades give the right suitable glow on the face yet I always need to build them up for that perfectly highlighted look.

MUA Rhapsody Palette Review

Texture and Quality: Shimmery as well as matte shades have super smooth and silky texture that glides easily on the eyes. They blend effortlessly and they never look patchy. All the shades feel light and soft in texture to me. The matte shades are pretty velvety in texture and they blend easily without feeling chalky. I like the overall quality and how the shadows look on my eyes. The shimmery shades are also the same in nature. These shadows are not super shimmery or glittery, hence they add just the right amount of shine. The shimmery shades fallout a little during application, but not too much. Also, these eyeshadows have never irritated my eyes.

Now, the face shades are super soft and creamy in consistency and they blend seamlessly on my face. The texture feels very buttery and the face shades set to a nice, non-drying and shiny finish too. Since my skin is naturally super oily, these face products feel a little too creamy on my skin and tend to move too. Hence, I need to set these with a powder. Otherwise, I really love the effects these two impart on my skin.

Staying Power: All the shades stay on for around 6-7 hours on my eyes and they never move from their place. The colors look perfect, especially the matte shades, even by the end of the day. Also, the shades are easy to remove, even the shimmers. They never settle into the fine lines and never crease either.

MUA Rhapsody Palette Brush

Overall: I love this raspberry or plum based palette as these colors look lovely on my eyes. I love to try different shadows and love to create various eye makeup looks, so this one is definitely a nice try for me.
