MUA Starry Night Intense Glitter Eyeliner Review

Hello IMBB readers!

Today’s review is about MUA Intense Glitter Eyeliner in the shade “Starry Night.” The very thought of glitter eyeliners take me back to late 90s when I used to see models and singers wearing glittery eyeliners onscreen, and loved their glamorous look. Glitter eyeliner trend keeps coming back and forth with time and it is a harmless deal to keep one in stash, especially at a price tag of £1. Read on to know why you should pick MUA Intense Glitter Eyeliner “Starry Night.”

My Experience with MUA Starry Night Intense Glitter Eyeliner:

MUA Intense Glitter Eyeliner comes in a wooden pencil form, which is easy to sharpen because it comes with a built-in sharpener attached to the cap. Stating by the previous experiences, the transparent cap develops cracks after some time, but the sharpener blade remains sharp and you can sharpen any other eyeliner with it, and it’s a big reason to invest in MUA eyeliner pencils. The outer color of the pencil indicates the shade of the eyeliner and looks pretty.

Now talking about the formula, MUA Intense Glitter Eyeliner Starry Night has a very creamy formula and it glides on easily, but this creamy texture causes it to smudge, and that looks messy and tacky. Also, the tip of the pencil breaks up frequently because of the soft texture.

Since it is a glitter eyeliner, I have never tried it on the waterline. In one line, I will say that it smudges and budges, but for the price we pay, this eyeliner doesn’t look like a bad deal. We can wear it for a shorter period of time or use a smudge brush/sponge to create a smudged eyeliner look. Also, you can make use of a primer and setting powder to create a base so that the liner doesn’t slip off.

The presence of parabens in the ingredients list is one more reason to keep this eye product away from waterline. For eyelid application, it doesn’t irritate or cause watery eyes. The wearing time is impressive if we ignore the smudging issue. The color lasts on the eyelids for 5 hours on an average. MUA Intense Glitter Eyeliner Starry Night is not a waterproof or a “rub-proof” eyeliner. The pigmentation of shade is wonderful, jet black with good intensity; however, the glitter may require a couple of swipes to be built up for the sparkly look.

Would I Recommend MUA Starry Night Intense Glitter Eyeliner?
I have rated MUA Intense Glitter Eyeliner Starry Night averagely yet I will still recommend it because for £1 (or $2.5, which is my purchase price), this is a good deal for occasional use. Also, it can be utilized as a top coat for matte gel eyeliner. I will repurchase this one and there are 7 beautiful shades in the range calling out for a trial.
