My Favorite Stuff from 2016!

Heylo everyone,

We have reached the fag end of 2016….and it’s the correct time to look back on all things important and for most of us out here, our makeup stuff is one thing that ranks high up there in the “utmost important things.” Following and inspired by Rati, I have jotted down a few things from  2016 that have become my favorites.  I have not included stuff from earlier years, this stuff that I am showing you, belongs to 2016 because I have used them, loved them extensively.  This list is not limited to makeup and skin care only, I have included my random favorites too 🙂 Check out the list and please do comment 🙂

1. Revlon Touch and Glow Advanced Fairness Cream: For all of you with “confused, weird” skin types, this is one cream that would moisturize the skin without making it look greasy or oily.  It leaves skin matte without the stretchy feel.  This is kind of a “lost and found” product for me – I loved using it a few years ago, then forgot about it, and now it’s back with me, forever! This is one cream that’s just perfect for all skin types and all seasons.

2.  Versace Bright Crystal Perfumed Deodorant Stick:  I am not much of a deodorant, roll-on person.  I love my perfumes, but this Versace deo stick has got all my love.  It smells so fresh and lovely, and this fragrance has such an elegance to it.

3. Ipad Mini:  I can do just about everything with my Ipad – play games, watch youtube, surf, and flaunt! I love my Ipad!

4.  Neutrogena Deep Clean Foaming Cleanser:  I love when my cleansers foam! and this one from Neutrogena foams and cleans the oil without drying out my skin.

5. MAC Pro Conceal and Correct Palette:  Though I had picked this palette in August 2015, this has lasted me in 2016 too. I absolutely love this palette!

6.  Sugar It’s-A-Pout Time Vivid Lipstick in The Big Bang Berry: I love the color, love the texture, love the finish, just everything about this lipstick is good!

7.  Ben Nye Banana Luxury Powder: Rash gave me this powder and I realized why this powder has such immense popularity with makeup lovers.

8.  Beauty Blender:  You gotta have a beauty blender in your life! Rati gifted me this “original” one.  A warning for you guys picking it off popular e-commerce sites – they are selling fakes at exorbitant prices!

9.  Revlon Colorstay Gel Wear Long Wear Nail Enamel in Full House:  2016 was the year of “blue” for me.  I have only applied blue on my nails, nothing else mattered 😛

10.  Amilab Lip Balm:  It’s the most moisturizing lip balm ever – it leaves lips smooth, soft, and hydrated!

11.  Maybelline Colossal Mascara: A must in every favorite list.

12. Makeup Revolution Hush Hush Amazing Sheer Lip Gloss:  This lip gloss works like a lip balm too, it adds just a hint of color along with hydration.

13.  Note pad:  At the beginning of the day, I write down my “to do” list in this pad and this ensures that my thoughts and work are not scattered around my mind.  You do have the option of jotting down notes in Iphone, but nothing like striking out the “done” things at the end of the day 😛

14.  Maybelline Fit Me Matte Poreless Foundation: This is one of the best drugstore foundations out there, my biggest find of 2016.

15.  Lancome Miracle Perfume:  This is my kind of perfume – fruity, floral with just the right amount of spice. I had tried a sample first and then wanted the full version.

16.  MAC Huggable Lip Color in Commotion:  This is a limited edition shade but at the MAC store, I had loved the shade so much, I didn’t want to leave it back up there for someone else to pick it up! It has oodles and oodles of shine and sheen, the only downside, it fades away way too quickly.

17.  Sleek Brow Kit – Extra Dark:  For beautiful, well-groomed brows, Sleek Brow Kit is a must!

18.  Real Techniques Expert Face Brush:  You should see this way – life before RT Expert Face Brush and life after RT Expert Face Brush – when people say they can’t do without this RT brush, they are not exaggerating!

19.  L’Oreal Color Riche JLO’s Delicate Rose Lipstick:  The formula is matte and the color stays on the lips for soooooo long!

20.  Ahaglow Face Wash:  Slowly, I am realizing the benefits of glycolic acid in skin care, and Ahaglow face wash the glycolic acid beats is a good start.

21.  L’Oreal Gentle Eye Makeup Remover:  This is so gentle on the skin, removes stubborn kohl marks easily.

22.  LA HD Pro Concealer:  It’s a wonder in a little tube! I want to get all those shades – to contour, highlight, conceal.

23.  Maybelline Fit Me Compact:  It does not live up to the foundation from the same range, but it’s not bad either.

24.  Johnson’s Baby Shampoo:  Beauty blender and RT brushes need gentle pampering every week and that’s why this Johnson’s baby shampoo is in this list.

25.  Kaya Skin Protection Cream with aloe vera:  If you have inflamed skin, this one cools and calms skin irritations and minor rashes.  I got it as a post-treatment care from Kaya.

26. Clinique Chubby in the Nude Foundation Stick:  I love Clinique foundations whether they come in a pan, tub, tube, or a stick form.

27.  Suncros Matte Finish SPF 50 Sunscreen:  If you have oily skin and do not like the feel of heavy, greasy texture of usual sunscreens, pick this one from the pharmacy.

28.  Nourish Oat Moisturising Cream: I have had some good finds from drugstore this year – this cream is one such find.  I don’t use it on my face, just on my hands as a hand cream.

29.  Nykaa Lavender Panacotta Nail Enamel:  My first encounter with matte nail paints, and this color is so gorgeous.

30.  Clinique Antiperspirant Deodorant Roll On:  Did I say I didn’t like roll on’s, well this is another exception. This is a non-staining formula and has no fragrance to it.  Twas good!

31.  Maybelline Super Stay 7 Day Gel Nail Color in Mint for Life: I love everything mint – on nails too – no exception!

32.  DKNY Ceramic Watch:  This was a gift from my sister and I have worn each day of 2016!

33. Patanjali Aloe Vera Gel:  I use only this aloe vera gel from this brand I swear – no multigrain atta, no toothpaste, no mustard oil, believe me.

34.  Revlon Turquoise Blue Nail Enamel:  Here comes another blue.

35.  Maybelline Colossal Kajal:  Like the mascara, Colossal kajal is a staple.

36.  Maybelline Pink Bloom Lip Balm:  I don’t even remember how many times I have repurchased this lip balm.

37.  Kaya White Protect Body Lotion:  A good body lotion for these dry winters.

38.  I-Kul Eye drops:  If you drive or if your eyes get inflamed when you rub them every 10 seconds, I-Kul gives them relief immediately.

39.  MAC Prolong Wear Pressed Powder:  It’s still with me in 2016.

40.  Lotus Apriscrub Face Scrub:  It’s a staple!

41.  Lipice Lip Conditioner:  It changes color and gives a nice pink stain on the lips.

42.  Real Techniques Powder Brush:  I would wind up this list with another of my favorite brushes – Real Techniques Powder Brush.

There’s not a single eyeshadow or highlighter, but I am looking into them, 2017 would be the year of highlighters 😛 Please do share with us your favorites from  2016 🙂
