My favourite hobby in 2016 has been writing reviews for IMBB. Firstly, a big thanks to all the writers of IMBB for their honest reviews and opinions. IMBB reviews are very helpful in deciding whether to purchase a product or not. Following is the list of my favourite products which I have loved and thoroughly enjoyed using in 2016. I have marked a link to each product and also grouped them into categories for your convenience.
Bath and Body:
Kama Ayurveda Kokum and Almond Body Butter: Luxurious and silky body butter. Needs some massaging to absorb, but gives excellent results. I have enjoyed using every bit of it.
Kama Ayurveda Foot Cream: A very good foot cream for maintaining soft, smooth and brighter looking feet.
Forest essentials OrganicCold Pressed Virgin Almond Oil: Pure almond oil, good for body and head massage. Can be used as a base oil.
Molton Brown Alba White Truffle Hand Treatment: Luxurious hand cream for soft, smooth and supple hands.
Molton Brown Alba White Truffle Hand Exfoliator: Luxurious and pampering hand scrub for smooth, beautiful and soft hands.
Acqua Di Parma Rosa Nobile Shower Gel: Luxurious and pampering shower gel; moisturises and cares for the body skin. One can skip using a body moisturiser, after showering with this shower gel. A beautiful rose fragrance, which keeps on lingering.
Hair
Kama Ayurveda Bringadi Intensive Hair Treatment: Nourishing hair oil for long and beautiful hair. Best to be applied a few minutes or an hour prior to hair bath.
Forest Essentials Indian Rose Absolute Hair Cleanser and Forest Essentials Bengal Tuberose Hair Cleanser: Both these shampoos thoroughly cleanse my hair. However, since I do not use a conditioner, I feel the need to apply a serum after washing my hair with these shampoos.
TIGI catwalk Smooth and Shine Blow out Balm: Best to be applied on hair prior to blow drying or using heated hair styling equipment. Protects hair from heat and damage. Gives a smooth, glossy shine but does not flatten out hair.
Face
Kama Ayurveda Brightening Ayurvedic Face Scrub: Gives a bright and radiant glow to facial skin. Helps lighten acne marks and get rid of dead skin and whiteheads.
Forest Essentials Delicate Facial Cleanser Kashmiri Saffron and Neem: This year my combination to dry skin type suddenly became oily and acne prone during summers. This facial cleanser helped me cope with this problem. It not only controlled the excess oil secretion but also helped rid of acne without stripping the natural oil balance.
Aviance White Intense Ultra Brightening Cleansing Gel: Gel based cleanser, gives a fresher and brighter look to the facial skin.
La Prairie Foam Cleanser: One of the most expensive face cleansers but gives excellent results. Keeps the skin hydrated throughout. Gives a smooth and even finish, helps keep the skin flawless.
Forest Essentials Sanjeevni Beauty Elixir: The lotion version has been reviewed on IMBB. I am using the cream version which comes packaged in a jar. Can be applied under a foundation, gives a velvety finish and preps the facial skin for makeup.
Forest Essentials Floral Makeup Remover Oil: Thoroughly removes makeup, keeps skin soft and supple.
Blueberries Cleansing Facial Wipes: Gently cleanses facial skin and removes makeup.
Clarins Multi Active Day Cream SPF 20: Multi active, light textured day cream helps prevent and minimise fine lines.
Clarins Multi Active Night Cream for Normal to Combination Skin: Multi active night cream. Gives a bright, radiant, flawless and refreshing look the next morning.
Jane Iredale Dream Tint Tinted Moisturiser: Dream tint moisturiser gives moderate to full coverage, an even look and a flawless finish.
Kanebo Sensai Fluid Finish Foundation SPF 15: Deeply moisturising foundation that provides hydration while imparting a silky and healthy looking sheen to the face.
Kanebo Sensai Silky Bronze Sun Protective Compact SPF 30: Anti-ageing, water-resistant, sun care foundation formulated with powder to cover pigmentation, dullness and deliver an even skin tone.
NARS Blush Lovejoy: Shimmery bronze rose shade. A light hand application delivers a natural looking flush and enlivens the complexion.
Jane Iredale PurePressed Blush Whisper: Shimmery peachy pink shade gives a peachy pink glow to the cheeks.
Lips
Clarins Extra Firming Lip and Contour Balm: Visibly repairs, moisturises and replenishes chapped lips.
Clarins Instant Instant Lip Comfort Oil: Extremely rich and luxurious lip oil. Gives a glossy shine and keeps lips hydrated. Can be worn alone or apply over a lipstick.
Jane Iredale Puremoist Lipstick Margi: Creamy textured, true red shade. Keeps the lips hydrated and moisturised.
Jane Iredale Puremoist Lipstick Cindy: Bold and beautiful classic red shade.
Dolce and Gabbana Matte Lipstick 229 Dolce Mamma: Beautiful rose pink matte shade. Truly a matte shade!
Jane Iredale Sugar Plum PureGloss Lip Gloss: Creamy shimmering pink shade. Gives a glossy finish and long lasting hydration. Can be worn alone or over a pink coloured lipstick.
Jane Iredale Sugar and Butter Lip Exfoliating cum Plumper: Two in one product; a lip scrub on one side and a shimmery lip plumper on the other.
Kent Twelve Lip Brush: Helps define and outline the lips.
Eyes
Stila Smudge Pot Black: Jet black gel eyeliner – easy, quick and smooth to apply in one stroke.
Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof eyeliner Lionfish: Beautiful metallic bronze brown shade for lining the eyes.
