Hello friends!

A very Happy Women’s Day to every beautiful woman! However I feel it is just pseudo women empowerment as we still need to overcome gender issues. Hence, Women’s Day is just like any other day unless we try to empower each other. On this Women’s Day, I wish every woman stands for her rights and empower herself to create a better world for future generations. Anyway, I am here to talk about a beautiful, rosy shimmer blush. Let’s read more about NARS Outlaw Blush.

ingredients

My Experience with NARS Outlaw Blush:

The blush comes in a chic compact case with an attractive black body and a flip top packaging; it also includes a portable mirror inside. It is slim and sleek enough to fit inside even the tiniest hand clutch.

packaging

My shade, Outlaw, is described as a soft rose shimmery blush which is exactly what it looks like in the packaging. It comes up as a soft muted shade on my skin tone, but I like that natural, long- lasting pink flush on my skin. I see that it beautifully pairs with all raspberry, even berry and rosy pink lip colors and dresses in my collection; shimmers add a glowy finish without being OTT. The texture of the blush is also pretty stiff yet velvety enough to easily blend on skin, provided we use a fluffy brush (be it a contour or blending brush).

back

I say so because it took me a while to realize that the blush, though looks subtle on my skin, also needs right fluffy brush to get properly blended. It also means that the blush is pretty intense yet it might need few strokes to give good coverage on skin, which seems to be a blessing in disguise for beginners. I use my bareMineral Bloom Brush to wear this shade on my skin and it does a decent job of blending this shade nicely on skin. It also gives me a natural pink hue without looking loud or shimmery.

texture

I also like how the shimmers provide the much needed glow to my skin without emphasizing my open pores or even oily skin. I have worn it several times in few weeks and I can say that I have only one issue with this blue and i.e. blending. It stays put for several hours on my skin; in fact I mentioned about this blush in previous write ups that how my makeup was still intact even after 8-10 hours.

close up

I had worn this blush over my foundation and with face powder and by the time I reached my home I could still see an even toned pink hue on my cheeks. This can show the longevity of this blush on my oily skin.

shinmmery blush

No wonder NARS has an amazing fan following and this Outlaw will just add points to their legacy. I am not sure if I will get it again because I am more interested to try a matte finish blush next time; I have too many shimmery blushes to finish currently. But I will definitely recommend it to every beauty irrespective of skin tone; I am sure it will show up really well on every Indian skin tone.

Let’s sum up pros and cons:

Pros of NARS Outlaw Blush:

• A soft, wearable, rosy pink blush with subtle golden shimmers
• The shimmers add radiance to cheeks
• Blends nicely with a fluffy brush
• Gives a sheer rosy glow to cheeks
• Buildable intensity which does not look cakey/chalky
• Does not dry out my skin
• Does not aggravate my oily skin
• Does not emphasize my large pores
• Gives a smooth, even finish
• Stays on for 7+ hours on my oily skin
• Shimmer does not get transferred all over my face
• Quite smart, sleek and travel friendly packaging

Cons of NARS Outlaw Blush:

• Contains talc
• Shimmers are not everyone’s cup of tea
• Took me a while to realize the correct way of blending it
• Does need a few swipes for good finish
• Price

Well other than the price and it’s tricky texture, I don’t think I have any major concerns with this blush. But Laura Geller blushes are more pigmented in this aspect, that too at a slightly lower price range!
