My Experience with NARS Raquel Audacious Lipstick:
Out of the 5 Nars Audacious lipsticks that I own, this shade is probably my least favorite. I had swatched this in the store before purchasing and that is what tempted me to buy it. The color in the hand swatch looks completely different than when it is on the lips.
The shade “Raquel” is described as a Pink beige.As you can see from my hand swatch, the color looks much more peach toned than beige, but on my lips it look very beige. I got this lipstick because I have been on a hunt lately for that perfect “nude” lipstick. Trust me, finding the perfect nude is the most difficult task a makeup junkie can face. Most of us tend to confuse MLBB lipstick shade as nudes but that is not the case. Nude lipsticks are supposed to be the one with the perfect balance of beige, pinks and peach’s and even hints of brown for those with dusky skin. Your perfect nude lipstick is based solely on how the shade compliments your skin tone. It is supposed to give the illusion of your lips looking very similar to your skin tone but still be very prominent and visible without making your face seem dead or ashy or give you ghost lips. You can always look to the ever popular Kim Kardashian who seems to have perfected the art of nude lips.
This particular shade in my opinion will be more suited to those with fair to light skin tone. My skintone falls somewhere in between light and medium (For reference I am NW23 in MAC) and I have pink undertones hence I am able to make this work but barely; and only when I pair it with the right kind of makeup (read heavy smoky eyes). It is definitely not a shade I can wear on a daily basis and just throw on when I run to the grocery store.
The texture of this lipstick as all the other is very smooth and creamy and it just glides on your lips. Even though this is a fairly light shade, it does go on with full opaque color but being such a light shade also makes it fade very quickly. Staying power on me is barely 4 hours after which it tends to start looking uneven as it fades with my actual darker shade of natural lip peaking from underneath. The best way to use this lipstick is with a complimenting lip liner to avoid that issue.
Apart from this, particular shade not being very flattering on me, I have absolutely no other issues regarding these lipstick . I have had 4 incredible hits with the shades out of the 5 I own and this shade is also not that bad if paired with the right makeup. I would definitely recommend this those with fair – light skin. Anybody darker than that should not pick up this shade.

Cons of NARS Raquel Audacious Lipstick :
• Expensive
• Color of this lipstick looks very different in the hand swatch and on the lips, quite deceiving
• Staying power is bad on this light shade.
• It does leave a tint behind.
• Fades unevenly with my darker shade of natural lips peaking from underneath.
