Nature’s Essence Caressence Live Up Hair Shine Serum Review

Since I recently got a lot of shampoos, conditioners and mousses to try out, I needed a detangler to make my hair silky and smooth. Hence, I picked up a few serums too. This belongs to the recently launched “Caressence” range by Nature’s Essence. The claims of the serum exactly matched my requirement, so I was expecting a lot from it. Let’s see whether it stayed true to its claims or not.

Product Description:
Live up replenishes moisture, smoothes the hair cuticle and give anti-frizz effect. It gives satin smooth hair, better nourishment and eases out tangles. It helps condition chemically treated and damaged hair giving it sheen and lustre. This hair serum nourishes your hair from within making them strong, healthy and manageable.

Directions of Use:
Use every day after wash or before going out on wet or dry hair. Take small quantity, comb through with your fingers. Style as desired.

My Experience with Nature’s Essence Caressence Live Up Hair Shine Serum:

The serum comes in a bright coloured box in pink and purple that looks decent and girly too. The cost of the serum, I feel, is very reasonable since usually we don’t get a serum around that cost. The box has all the instructions nicely mentioned. The bottle of the serum is very tiny, I think it fits perfectly in the palm. Although, it looks small it will go a long way because I just need a drop for one use. The bottle due to its size is very handy. But the packaging might have some flaws. The bottle was already leaking when I unpacked the serum box. It had serum all over the bottle and the label got a bit spoiled.

So I think the packaging could have been better. The flip cap is also a bit tight to open and I fear it will break my nails. So was pretty okay as far as the packaging is concerned. The serum is a little thick in consistency as it is not very runny. Just a drop is required or my thin hair turns greasy. I nicely apply the serum on wet hair and it feels a little thick. It feels heavy than other serums. But as soon as my hair absorbs the serum, the heaviness is gone. My hair detangles very well and looks very sleek. After drying, my hair looks amazingly healthy, smooth and silky. It gives my hair a healthy shine too.

But, all the serums do these things! But the best part is that it controls my frizz excellently and also makes my hair straight. I usually get beachy waves after washing my hair, but after using it I do not. It leaves my hair sleek and shiny. It also has a very soothing powdery fragrance which is exactly like the Johnson’s Baby Oil. Literally, the same very own scent we are using since childhood. It makes me nostalgic. In all, I think it is a very decent serum and does everything that it says. If you are on the way to find a good serum, you can try this because it keeps my hair soft and smooth for 2-3 days which is incredible.

• Feels heavy when applied initially
• Hair can look very greasy if excess quantity is applied
• The packaging has a lot of flaws; as the bottle was leaking and the cap is too tight

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Nature’s Essence Caressence Live Up Hair Shine Serum?
Yes, I will recommend this to all those who are on a budget yet need a serum to keep their hair healthy. I would probably keep switching serums because I have used better ones like Garnier Sleek And Shine Moroccan Sleek Oil Treatment or Herbal Essences Touchably Smooth Smoothing Serum.
