Nature’s Essence Magic Fresh Rose Cooling Skin Tonic Review

Summers in Mumbai leave your skin super sticky! Wet wipes, toners and fruit waters – all of these are the must-have weapons to combat it. So keeping that in mind, I purchased a rose toner. The packaging said it cools your skin. What’s better than something that cools your skin amidst hot summers, I thought! Let’s find out whether it lives by all it’s claims or not!

My Experience with Nature’s Essence Magic Fresh Rose Cooling Skin Tonic:

This cooling rose toner comes in a transparent bottle and an orange screw cap. There’s another cap that is supposed to prevent spillage of the liquid. The details are printed on the body. The bottle is filled to the brim. It isn’t suitable for travelling because the product leaks through the small plastic cap. Also, this makes the bottle sticky and gross. The packaging of the product isn’t attractive and I so wish it was more attractive.

The toner is a nice cute pink coloured liquid which smells like roses. It is just a wee bit strong, but the fragrance doesn’t linger much. You have to pour the liquid on to a cotton ball and rub it all over your face and neck. I appreciate that it was mentioned, but there wasn’t any cooling effect with it. It took time to dry out completely.

Then, after some time when I touched my face, it was sticky. I had not expected that at all! So, I washed my face with plain water. It did leave my face refreshed, but the product doesn’t evaporate like a normal toner would. It sticks on your face and I did not like it. In fact, no one would. What’s the use of a toner when in the end you have to wash your face with water?

Anyway, summing up the pros and cons:

• Very cheap.
• Refreshes the face.
• Availability.
• Smells good.

Cons of Nature’s Essence Magic Fresh Rose Cooling Skin Tonic:

• Liquid leaks out of the bottle.
• No cooling action.
• Doesn’t evaporate; it makes your face sticky!
• Flimsy packaging.
