We all love tinted moisturisers especially when we have to run errands and have less time for makeup. Also tinted moisturisers are better for everyday wear as compared to heavy duty foundations particularly for lazy butts who don’t pay much attention to removing makeup at night. Since I have ‘high maintenance’ skin (I don’t like to call my skin ‘problematic’), I have to be extra careful in choosing a moisturisers as they sink into the skin and stay there all day long. So let’s find out if this baby turned out to be a favourite or not.

My Experience with Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Correct and Cover Pink Grapefruit Moisturizer:
Neutrogena products have always been a favourite of mine because they are cost effective, easily available and most of all, perform well. Not a single product from the Neutrogena line has disappointed me and hence any new launches from Neutrogena go straight into my cart. So when I found this new baby in the skin care world by Neutrogena, I had to grab it.
Packaging:
This Neutrogena moisturiser is housed in pink and white box which has the picture of the actual tube on it. The tube itself is sleek and holds 50 ml of the product. All the details are mentioned on the tube and the box in English and French. The tube has a pretty pink screw cap. Also the nozzle of the tube is quite precise so it does not ooze out tons of product in one go. All in all, two thumbs up for the packaging.
Colour:
This Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Correct and Cover Pink Grapefruit Moisturizer is available in 2 shades – Fair to Light and Medium to Dark. I picked up the shade Fair to Light as I have a fair complexion. Besides, the Medium to Dark shade looks scary dark on the packaging. Neutrogena smartly divided 4 shades – Light, Fair, Medium and Dark – into two groups, which is not very practical and convenient.
Pigmentation:
I would say the pigmentation of this product is light to negligible! But I am not complaining since Neutrogena has not presented this baby as a tinted moisture or BB/CC/DD cream. The focus of this product is being a salicylic acid treatment moisturiser in the pink grapefruit scent. Although I would appreciate medium coverage at least, but again I am not complaining.
Texture:
Surprisingly, the texture of this moisturiser is more like a hydrating primer. It is very smooth and mattifies the skin and primes it up for makeup application. It does not feel oily or anything yet hydrates the skin to some extent. It feels really creamy and sets on the skin after application. I really enjoy the texture of this product.
Smell:
I love love love the pink grapefruit scent that Neutrogena infuses its products with under the Grapefruit line and this baby is no different. It has a mild and fresh pink grapefruit scent that does stay on the skin for a while. I totally enjoy it.
Longevity:
Since this product’s colour does not show up on the skin that well, I can’t comment much on that, but the hydration is sure long lasting. It keeps my skin hydrated yet mattified for about 6-7 hours which I completely appreciate.
Quality:
I would say the best way to wear this tinted moisturiser is under makeup. Since it mattifies and primes the skin and also provides teenie weenie bit of coverage, this works best as a hydrating base under makeup.
