New Job Openings and Earning Opportunities at IMBB

job openingsHello to all the awesome ladies on IMBB πŸ™‚

Rati keeps on bumping into IMBB readers whenever she goes out. A lot of them say that they do not buy any makeup product unless they have opened IMBB and read its review. Great! Hearing this, makes me really proud. πŸ™‚ But I often wonder what if, after buying that product, the experience of the user is different from the IMBB review? Or what if the reader had a similar experience and want to share swatches of her own? Could we enhance that review further…

Not only that, in order to enhance to enhance IMBB further, we need to know about good products and knowledge about beauty in order to offer more to our readers.

Keeping all this in mind, we have decided to expand our core team further with some more job openings, (oh by the way, our job opening for an editor is still there), and some more earning opportunities for our readers and writers. Here are these-

Job Opening: Full-Time Researcher

As a researcher, your job responsibilities would be to-

  • Research about new and good products that IMBB Team or IMBB writers can review.
  • Research about makeup, beauty or fashion.
  • Research about products already reviewed on IMBB.

This is a work-from-home, six-days-a-week, full-time job for a female residing in India. We expect you to be working from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. There should be no issues regarding power or internet connection. We need full connectivity all the time. As a basic requirement, we need someone who is crazy about makeup, beauty and fashion. We need someone who can spend her whole day doing this, even if she was not paid for this. πŸ™‚

If your interested in this profile, please mail us at contactimbb [at] gmail [dot] com with your cover letter and resume. πŸ™‚

More Earning Opportunities at IMBB

To offer more to readers who visit IMBB, we are offering all our present and future writers to earn more from IMBB through the follow-

Submitting Swatches and one-paragraph review of an already-reviewed product
This offer is open only to our existing writers OR readers who send us their identity proof, phone no, and bank account/paypal details. You should also send the declaration that you are not associated with any makeup, beauty or skincare company/ecommerce site in any manner.

You can send in a mini-review of an already-reviewed product on IMBB by sending in your swatch picture and one paragraph stating your experience with the product. Neither the swatch picture nor your experience should be stolen from the internet. Please be original. πŸ™‚ The idea is to collect more authentic experiences related to a product from our readers. We would add your review and swatch picture, along with your name, in the existing review itself.

We would be paying INR 50/ $1 per mini review for these mini reviews. As always, the payment shall be made at the end of each month.

Please mail your mini reviews to mirrorobsession [at] gmail [dot] com.

Right. That is all. πŸ™‚ If you have any queries regarding the same, please do ask them in the comments here.

  1. great changes sanjeevji. yes iam sure mini reviews are going to help everyone for sure! b/w is there any specific education qualification requirement for the researcher post?

    1. Hi Sreya,

I would have to say no to that I’m afraid. πŸ™

This would leave a window for writers to send in a full-review elsewhere and then submit a mini review here. In one form or the other, it is stealing the work of that blog owner, and I would not like IMBB to do that.

      1. thank you sanjeev ji. πŸ™‚ actually i have written some reviews elsewhere(one or two).. so was just curious to ask if i am eligible..

  2. Hi Sanjeev ji. πŸ™‚ I am curious about mini reviews. It’s a very good concept and helpful for IMBB readers. But I have a query. Say 4 people send you mini review along with swatches of the same product. So will you choose all the reviews or just reviews of those you like or just 1 best review from all?

  3. Woowwww thats a great news.. I have been waiting for something like this for long.. hope my wish gets fulfilled this time πŸ™‚

  4. Ohh.. these mini reviews wud take imbb to new level… u know evn at imbb i hv read reviews which are meant fr wrinkles/ whitening /open pores/ dark circles etc n writers claiming because they dont hv these issues so they cant say… i mean ” pure review ka purpose hi khatam” these mini reviews will now help us a lott.. may u ppl scale new heights everyday..

  5. Wow, this is a great idea. Atleast for me because I buy most of the products after checking its review on IMBB πŸ˜›
Now I can write my mini review also. Yippiee…!!

  6. Great! Really I have loads of products that has been already reviewed on IMBB but my opinions are different on those products.. Thank you Sanjeev ji….. I adore you:)

    1. Also, it is not necessary that your experience is different from the review. You can also send in a mini review to share your own similar experience and swatches. πŸ™‚

  7. I loved the concept of mini reviews….many a times the product I am using is already reviewed…but now I can share my experiences too… πŸ™‚ Thank you IMBB team…. i am glad that I can start contributing again… πŸ™‚

  8. These mini reviews are SUCH an awesome idea because every thing looks different on everyone and it is such a lovely way to see for example a lipstick swatch on different shades of skin. This was a genius move guys and this makes IMBB truly an encyclopedia of resources in terms of makeup. I love it! Will send lots and lots of swatches very soon πŸ™‚

    1. Jomol, is this what the phone call was about? πŸ™‚ It’s a stroke of genius! It’s like if Einstein wore makeup, then this would be the result of that! Lol!

  9. Oh, this is wonderful!

The new concept of mini reviews will simply expand IMBB’s reach and brand; the recall will rapidly increase! Additionally, readers will benefit with this too. Great move IMBB!

All the Best! And yes, I will send more and more reviews now! πŸ™‚

  10. Sanjeevji, this mini review concept is greatttt…. dis wil give an opportunity to readers to contribute to IMBB….Cant wait to write the review….
Do i need to send the my details and declaration along with my review?? i’ll be writing for the first time.

    1. Hi Amrutaa,

Yes you do need to send your details. πŸ™‚ Our darkest fear in IMBB is of reviews getting inspired by brand/company somehow. That is why we have stopped taking products from the brand and that is why we want to verify our writers. Hope you understand. πŸ™‚

  11. Hello. I have been a regular reader of imbb. I would like to join in for mini review. .but I’m not an existing writer in imbb..so where do I need to send in my details..as there are 2 emails mentioned above. Thanks.

  12. Wow such a great opportunity πŸ™‚
Thank u so much for including a mini review section, because a lot of us have had different experiences with the same product πŸ™‚ It will be good to read other’s say on it too. I’ve been waiting for this chance and of a researcher’s. Once i’ve taken care of certain things in my life, i will join in too…i want to.

  13. Hi.. I am new to IMBB.. Have bought some products reading d reviews here.. Can I also start with the mini reviews? Where do i need to give my details?

  14. Gr8 news…another feather in IMBB’s cap.Kudos to the team for staying innovative and unique.Love you guys.

  15. Woww!!! This is awesome! Mini-reviews are a very good concept, difference of opinion usually occurs so that would help the buyer decide better πŸ™‚ What are the restrictions for a mini-review??

    1. Hi Disha,

No restrictions for the mini review- we need a good swatch pic and in-depth paragraph about your experience with the product. However, though this is not mandatory, we would request you guys to send a full product pic also, just for verification purposes.

  16. Wow!!! Mini Reviews πŸ™‚ Very Good Concept. Any specific Qualifications Or eligibility for full time researcher ? i have a very keen interest on this side. Can you please tell me what would be the pay scale of this? waiting for the replies πŸ™‚

  17. I love how Imbb is always trying to improve and truly be the biggest hub for all things beauty. I have a few suggestions and questions.
-Firstly please make some position available for people living abroad as well. This could be great as they could work nights when it’s day it India and hence Imbb is updated 24/7.
-also please consider putting an option for the writer of a review to change or add to her existing review. This could be great for skincare items which take a long time to show effects.
-are the mini reviews for skincare items as well. If so, the swatch will be just a pic of the product on the skin right?

    1. Neha, really good suggestions. The mini reviews are applicable for skin care stuff too, so do send in πŸ™‚ Yes, though a swatch pic is enough, it would be great if you could click one or two product pics too, just to add to the review, it’s not compulsory though.

  18. wow mini reviews is such a nice concept.now i love imbb more n more n more πŸ™‚ i hav a question-can i attach pics taken by phone in mini reviews ? (oh god plz say yes)

  19. Heyyyy for the mini reviews… if there is a lip colour or so there would be a swatch attached.. and if it is a product review.. i have to send a snap of the product too right? So that it means that I have genuinely used that product and not just writing without using it! πŸ™‚

  20. awesome.. πŸ™‚ another feather on hat… Kuddos for this innovative and extremely useful idea sanjeev ji n team IMB πŸ™‚ this will definitely help to increase depth/significance of all skincare reviews including both anti-ageing & other pdts which take time to show results. Totally appreciate and excited for mini reviews concept. congrazz IMBB for this smart move πŸ™‚ wishing more n more success ahead:)
I also agree with neha that there must be scope of editing original skin care pdt review article for the writer as she might come across anti-ageing or positive results over the time which is otherwise not seen at the time of reviewing article as we cannot wait 4 or 5 mnths to review a skin care pdt. πŸ™‚

  21. This is just incredible! How do you guys come up with these amazing ideas? Seriously can’t wait to send in reviews πŸ™‚ love this concept!

    1. I do have another query. I have a full time corporate job. Am I eligible for the open positions IMBB having? Internet connectivity is not an issue for me, fyi.

  22. Wow!! I am amazed how you guys come up with such innovative ideas.. This will surely benefit our readers!!

  23. Omg omg !!!!! This is just amazing !!! Hats off to IMBB team for thinking such brilliant ideas. The only issue i had with some reviews was writer didnt even had the problem the product is supposed to tackle ….. Bt nw tht is also taken care of . Thnk u so much….loads of good wishes to u all

  24. Wow !! I always think that how can I write a review when I buy stuff only after reading its review here πŸ™‚ . Problem solved now. Mini reviews will surely help us more .
Do create some job opportunities for people who are staying outside India .

  25. Soooopppppprrrrrrrrr happy to know about the new updates πŸ™‚ Though I cannot join in full time I would surely contribute to all the all mini reviews that I can πŸ™‚

  26. I live in Chicago,US. Would like to write reviews . Is there any way of writing reviews for people like me. You can deposit the money to my bank account in India . Please let me know. Thanks

    1. sanyukta IMBB brings talent on one platform from every nook corner of world πŸ™‚ you can write reviews from US and get payment in us$ thru your paypal linked to your bank account. πŸ™‚
Many writers from all across world are writing for IMBB regularly and earning via paypal!! just follow instructions as they mentioned in blog and send mail to their given email id !!

  27. Hi Jomol,

This is such an amazing concept πŸ™‚ Can’t wait to send in the mini reviews of all my products. Does this also apply to the product brands that were reviewed earlier and aren’t accepted now by IMBB anymore? Also can you please mention the number of images and the size of the image that has to be sent for a mimi review.

      1. IMBB team sorry about the huge comment. It’s stuck somewhere on the internet in moderation land. But I have a super valid question. How do I change this annoying blue bespectacled head that looks like it is about to burst into tears here on the right ——> as my profile photo.
        Kindly help,
        Love,
        Sam

        1. Its easy dear, go to gravatar(dot)com and assign your picture to the email id which you use to comment on IMBB πŸ™‚ hope it helps

  28. Guys, guys I think everyone’s brains are spazzing out with this (awesome) new change so I would like to help our poor Sanjeev and Jomol with just a few tips that you ALL could read before bombarding them with questions.

    1. IMBB is STILL THE SAME. It doesn’t matter where on the globe you are, you can send them your a) Indian bank details OR b) Paypal details along with ONE ID proof, contact details and review to start writing for IMBB.

    2. If you have a makeup product/skin care product/beauty product/foot scrub/pimple cream/mascara/cute fluffy dog that has been reviewed before on IMBB and you were very sad that it has already been reviewed then DO NOT BE SAD. If you have something to say about it- send them a short one paragraph experience along with 1-5 photos of that lipstick swatch/product packaging/a slap of that cream on your arm (be creative) and send it to mirrorobsession (@) gmail (dot) com.

    3. It does not matter how many mini reviews you send and it does not matter how many mini reviews a product already has. For EACH one you send you will get INR 50/ USD 1 but you can only send one mini review per product (obviously).

    4. The only qualification for an editor/researcher position on IMBB is a)love for beauty and makeup products b)passion for beauty and make up productss c)UNDYING THIRST for beauty and makeup products d)Fast & reliable internet. The main reason why they ask that you be β€˜residing in India’ is because I myself have had a million queries that Neha and Jomol have answered after consulting Sanjeev and they all need to be awake to communicate with each other to help us as writers. Giving people abroad an opportunity to join IMBB is a GREAT idea and I’m sure these fantastic people over at IMBB will work towards that soon, but if they are asleep when you’re awake (timezone issues!) and you have a query it kind of makes things difficult doesn’t it?

    5. IMBB does not take reviews of certain brands like SoulTree, Avon, Oriflame etc. They’ve listed a few brands that they do not accept reviews of on their website, if you’re ever in doubt then just email them and they do answer. I have had 1 or 2 reviews rejected because they don’t accept a particular brand but it’s ok if that happens. Live dangerously guys.

    6. If you blog elsewhere you cannot write reviews/mini reviews/post swatches here. Vent it out in the comments section guys or just write for IMBB exclusively guys. 100% job satisfaction, I guarantee it.

    7. You cannot send photos taken on your phone. The (partial) idea of these mini reviews was that older reviews had unclear swatches so IMBB needed a fresh (clear) take on these. As a reader I do not want more blurry images or images that are not true to colour.

    8. As a writer, if you are writing about a skin care product, I would use the product for 2 weeks to a month before I write a review on it. How else could you talk about- how long a bottle of lotion lasts, if you’ve seen the effects of it (eg. dark spot correction) or if you’ve noticed a positive or negative about it???! As a reader I want to know that the writer has tried this product for more than a week before the write a review about it otherwise it’s pretty much useless just writing a review on it. C’mon guys, even people that leave reviews on company websites try out products for a little while before they put their negative and positive comments up there. So for those saying that there should be an edit option for a writer to change his review, just email IMBB and I’m sure you have a genuine and valid addition to your review, they’ll add it in there. Why wouldn’t they??! But if you’re just writing a review after just buying your product then that is not much of a review is it. I waited 2 1/2 months before reviewing my MAC Lightful Softening Lotion recently so it can be done.

    9. The ONLY way and a pretty effective way to communicate with the IMBB team is via email- mirrorobsession (at) gmail (dot) com

    10. Unicorns are awesome. That is all.

  29. Hey.. What does posting on another blog mean??? As in specifically a fashion and beauty blog or any random blog??
