I was dying to do this makeup look from past 10 days. One of the readers requested this look. But I did not have the shimmery rose gold eyeshadow. Plus I wanted the eyeshadow to be the star of the show so it really had to be perfect. 😀 I started searching on IMBB for it. I have MAC Eyeshadow Expensive Pink, which is a gorgeous rose gold. Since I was doing a new year look, I wanted it to be a bit extra. We have a MAC Rose Pigment reviewed here. It was PERFFECTT. It was ‘mere wala rose gold.’ 😛 I called up every possible store and it was out of stock. I wanted that pigment. Period. You know how Shahrukh Khan says”Agar kisi cheez ko puri shiddat se chaho toh puri kayanaat usse aapse milvane par majboor ho jaati hai” I got to know that the latest MAC Collection launch has a pigment called Rose. I was like…whattt?? So I ordered it online. My payment declined and that product went out of stock. Perfect. I called up customer care. They said the product would come back. it never came back. I was not giving up..alright. 😛 I called up MAC store the next day and they said that it was still a day to launch the collection. Only one of the two stores nearby had this pigment. I told them to keep one for me and I’d send my driver to pick it up the next day. I was so mad. I went to the mall directly from the gym ..in my gym clothes..looking like a dork to get my lovely pigment. 😛 The MUA packed the tiny bottle with all pomp and show for me because I think it’s rare that they get to see makeup nuts like me. 😛 So now that you know the story of his mad makeup queen, I hope you enjoy the look and give it a try. 😀 It is definitely one of my fav looks from 2016. I mostly use a palette from Faces.. it is a quad called “captivate”.. it has nice neutral shades with a rose god, gold, copper and more, so that makes a really good on the go palette.. and I have a huge makeup kit from ULTA, which has a separate eyeshadow pan called “rose gold” 🙂 and makeup revolution palettes also have beautiful pinkish rose shades
