Today’s review is about Nivea Anti Age Facial-Sunscreen SPF30.
Nivea is a German brand and belongs to Beiersdorf AG which umbrellas barnds like Eucerin, Labello, Hansaplast. Nivea is their mid-range personal care brand.
As most of you are aware, sunscreen is an essential part of everyday routine. I use sunscreen ritually no matter what the weather is. I use it 365 days of the year. The first thing I apply on my clean face in the morning while getting ready to step out of the house is Sunscreen. It is very important to be aware of the fact that sun causes maximum damage to the skin. The damage is intense and long lasting.
Facial sun screens are available in different forms. Creams, fluid, gels, oils.
Today’s product under review is a cream product which is specially made for facial care.
Many of us prefer not to use it especially on the face, due to the fact that it leaves a white cast.The packaging very handy. It is small and will easily in all small beauty bags. As you can see from the pics it comes in a plastic tube which is easy to squeeze. It has a flap lid on top which opens and closes easily.
The lid is also tight making it secure during travel. It has a small nozzle which controls the product dispensed. The whole packaging feels more like a toothpaste tube and I like it so.
The product is not perfume free. It has a fragrance which is slightly on the stronger side but once you start spreading on the skin, it kind of fades off.
The texture of the product is thick. But when applied and massaged in to the face it spreads easily and smoothly. The product also gets absorbed easily in to the skin leaving the skin moisturized but not matte. Since the product leaves the skin well moisturized, I don’t have to apply lot of face moisturizer on top. During summer months I would have totally skipped the face moisturizer. But now that winter is setting in my dry skin needs extra moisturizing. The skin doesn’t feel greasy or oily.
I have been using this product for a few days now and it has not caused any breakout. I have a very sensitive skin and very prone to breakouts. The product is definitely suitable for sensitive skin.
It is recommended to use around a teaspoon full for face and neck to get the required amount of sun protection.
The product is SPF30 and hence I would not use it on very hot summer days. The days when I know I will stay outdoors I prefer to use SPF50 or more. During gloomy days as in autumn and winter I believe SPF30 would suffice.
Even though the product is water resistant it is recommended to reapply the product, especially after swimming, toweling and sweating to get maximum protection.
