My Experience with Nivea Daily Essentials Moisture Day Cream SPF 15:

I have been using Nivea serums for my day and nighttime routine and I absolutely love them. So, when I was looking for a moisturiser, I decided to team up the serum routine with a product from Nivea. I have a combination skin but, in winters my skin turns really dry. So, I picked the light moisturising cream for dry and combination skin.

The cream comes in a tube packaging. It is blue and white in colour similar to the normal to combination skin range products from Nivea. It has a pastel blue flip flop cap which closes with a click. The name is written on the back of the flip flop cap. As it is a 50ml tube and with a tight lid, it is easy to carry in bags. The cream is white in colour and is thick and creamy. The smell is similar to the smell of typical Nivea creams. Though the cream looks thick, as soon as it is applied and rubbed into the skin, it instantly gets absorbed and doesn’t leave any greasy residue. The cream creates a matte look on my skin.

The cream is light and doesn’t feel heavy on the skin. With the matte look, the oily shine on my face was reduced. The cream makes the skin look refreshed and hydrated but, for really dry skin, this cream will just be a satisfactory product. During harsh winters, my skin becomes dry and flaky. While the cream controls it, it doesn’t reduce the dry flakes. The cream has SPF 15 and this is an added bonus as it can be a perfect 2 in 1 cream.

The cream is also said to be enriched with Hydra IQ which promotes moisture flow between cells and I have noticed my skin to be really supple and well-nourished after using this cream. The cream didn’t cause any breakouts for me nor does it irritate the skin. I often get pimples when I try a new product and this one didn’t break me out. Nivea has a lot of products which are paraben free but, unfortunately, this is not one among them! While it is a good cream, it suits the best for normal and oily skin than combination or dry skin. So, for my skin type, I would classify it as a good cream for autumn or summer but, not for the harsh dry winter.
