Nivea Daily Essentials Oil Free Moisturising Day Cream Review

By Shainee Chakraborty

In whichever part of world I am, I always read review in IMBB either before or after buying the product. This time also after buying Nivea Daily Essentials Oil Free Moisturising Day Cream, I came back home to read the review of this product. Since, it was not there, so I grabbed the opportunity to enjoy the limelight of an IMBB Writer 😉

We girls cannot live without our moisturising cream. Can we? Well moisturised skin is a foundation for a healthy skin. I think moisturizer is must, especially for those who, either drink less water daily or has a very dry skin. Figuring out your skin type is a task in itself. Right now, my skin is dry (not too try), oily T-zone, sensitive and breaks out proudly, one week before the beginning of my cycle. Now, that you know my skin type, I will proceed with my review on this product.

Nivea Daily Essentials Oil Free Moisturising Day Cream

Product Description:
Moisturises and helps regulate oil for a shine reduced complexion with Ocean Algae and Hydrate IQ.

Price:
3.89 GBP but I got this for 1.25 GBP approx for 50ml.

My Experience with Nivea Daily Essentials Oil Free Moisturising Day Cream:

Nivea Daily Essentials Oil Free Moisturising Day Cream caught my attention because it was screaming “oil free” from the shelf. Only oil free products suit my skin type. This 50ml cream comes in a non transparent plastic tube and cap, which shuts with a click. Non transparent means you would not know, how much is left. The green and white color packaging is simple yet appealing. The plastic tube is hygienic and amount required, could be controlled easily to avoid wastage and also makes it travel friendly for that reason. A pearl size quantity is enough for my face. So, I think I will need 2 months to empty the tube, if I apply once daily.

I sincerely follow the CTM rule daily once. I am applying Nivea Daily Essentials Oil Free Moisturising Day Cream, after applying a simple facial toner. The texture of the cream is like a light body lotion. It is neither too thick nor too runny kind. It does not take much time to go inside your facial skin and it does feel oil free. You would not feel like you have applied anything on your face. So, it does not make you feel oily and uncomfortable, which is good for daily use.

It has a nice mild fragrance which does not linger for long. But, smell would remain in your hands for quite some time. It does not have a typical Nivea blue bottle smell(though, I like that scent also). I am not sure about its claim to revitalize the skin, but it does keep the skin hydrated for 24 hours. Even after completion of 24 hours, my skin does not feel dry.

It would have been bonus, if it had some SPF. Also, I am little bit apprehensive about presence of Cetearyl Alcohol and Benzyl Alcohol in the ingredient list, as I think I had read in IMBB that alcohol is not good for our skin. Please, correct me if I am wrong. Another, big turn off is the presence of parabens. This product is doing okay for me in this UK summer, where maximum temperature goes up to only 22 degree Celsius with minimal humidity.
Overall, I am happy with this product.
