Nivea Oil-in-Lotion Argan Nourish Body Lotion Review

Hi all,

Though winters has bid goodbye, my dry skin hasn’t. I was searching for the new cocoa oil lotion from Nivea at a local supermarket and found this instead. I was so intrigued by the term “argan” oil that I blindly grabbed it. Read on to know how it fared for me.

My Take on Nivea Oil-in-Lotion Argan Nourish Body Lotion:

I love the packaging, no qualms over it. I’m disappointed that they haven’t launched any size options and this lotion comes in just one size.  This size is too much for me as I take ages to finish even a small bottle. Packaging is hassle-free, a classic combination of white and blue bottle, with a blue flip cap which is sturdy. It can feel bulky although it is travel-friendly.

The consistency of the lotion is on the runny side, thanks to the presence of oils. It requires lesser quantity to be slathered all over when compared to other lotions, which is a good thing. If more than required amount is used, it makes the skin feel sticky and greasy. It does take some massaging to get completely absorbed into the skin. It did not give me a light feeling, made my skin feel heavy.

On the moisturizing part, it performs excellently. It keeps my skin nourished all day long, my skin appears to glow. Argan oil is known as “liquid gold” and I guess I can stand some greasiness if I want it to work wonders 😀 This lotion is perfect for winters and it is especially made for dry-skinned beauties. I was on cloud nine to see that it is free from parabens, silicones, colorants and mineral oil!! I keep obsessing over ingredients and try to get paraben-free products as much as I can.

  1. I think I want to grab it right away. i was thinking of picking up a small bottle of body lotion anyway, this one soundss soo nice. :)) I also dont mind a bit of greasiness. thanks to the dry skin. 😛

  2. I think I am gonna love it. Because all those winter hot showers have given me super dry skin. And, it’s great that it is parabens, silicones etc free. 🙂

  3. A total winner Disha. I sit in an AC mostly all the time during summers, so this would be still great 🙂

  4. I use the cocoa version of this currently, and gosh IT IS AMAZING! Yes, that good, that I had to write that in caps 😛 However, I do not find it greasy at all. And yup, I have dry skin. I like it even better than the Nivea super-moisturizing (apparently) blue one, which is supposedly for extra-dry skin, while this one is just for dry skin (take a look at the writing on the back of the bottle – shows a half pie chart like thing, with moisture level).

    1. I do not have very dry skin so I felt it kinda greasy 🙂 It may vary from person to person, based on their skin Samantha 😀

      1. Yup, as I said, probably because I have dry skin, I find it not greasy. Again, maybe the cocoa version is different? Argan oil is supposed to be super-moisturizing. I dunno :/ thanks for the review, Disha! Will definitely pick this up the next time I’m out 🙂
