My Experience with Nivea Olive Hand Cream:

One of the reasons that I picked up this hand cream was because it was cheaper than other hand creams from Nivea. Nivea is a trusted brand and most of my daily skin care products are filled with Nivea and this hand cream comes as an addition.

Nivea Olive Hand Cream cap

The packaging is plain and simple, nothing fancy. It comes in a tube packaging with a flip cap. The cap is tight and there is no leakage of the product thus it is travel friendly. The tube is white in color with the picture of olives on the top and has a blue flip cap. The product is white in color and smells like the typical Nivea creams. The hand cream is white and creamy and has medium consistency. The cream is light and thin and is easily spreadable. The hand cream gets instantly absorbed by the skin and doesn’t leave any residue. As it contains olive oil, the cream looks a bit oily but when applied on the hand, it doesn’t leave any greasy residue and leaves a matte effect. This astonished me as I was not sure if this cream would give the right amount of hydration. It looked like I didn’t apply any cream at all, but when I touched my hand, I could feel the presence of cream and also my hands were just gliding against each other, the same feeling that you get when you apply oil.

My hands look hydrated, smooth, and feel instantly soft to touch. The hand cream makes my hands feel so healthy. With the temperatures dropping, the skin on my hands is peeling off and this cream camouflages all the flaky skin; my hands aren’t dry anymore. I have been using this on my feet too as I have ran out of my foot cream and it does some pretty decent job. With all the good things, the hand cream is a dud when it comes to longevity. The hand cream moisturizes the hand hardly for 3 hours and post which you can feel dryness again, so it has to be often reapplied. The hand cream also contains parabens so if you are looking for a paraben-free product, you need to look out for more options.

Pros of Nivea Olive Hand Cream:

  • Easily affordable.
  • Gets easily absorbed.
  • No greasy residue.
  • Leaves a matte, hydrated and healthy look.
  • Makes hands very soft.
  • Camouflages flaky dead skin.

Cons of Nivea Olive Hand Cream:

  • Contains parabens.
  • Moisturization is short, so you need to reapply often.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Nivea Olive Hand Cream?
No, you can get hand creams with long moisturization benefit, just that they are a bit higher in price.
