Nivea In Shower Body Lotion Skin Conditioner Review

Nivea In Shower Body Lotion Skin Conditioner

Do you want soft skin but lazy to moisturise? Then this product is for you. I love purchasing body butters and lotions but only use them at night time before bed. In the mornings I skip moisturiser because I’m not patient enough to wait a few minutes for the product to sink in. I am not a huge fan of the brand Nivea as their lip balms and lip glossers never impressed me. I like their lotions and lip butters though. Olay introduced the in shower body lotions some time back but they were not available in Australia. So, when I noticed this Nivea in shower body lotion I really wanted to give it a try, purchased the skin conditioner meant for Normal to dry skin.

Price: Around AUD 8 but I got it at a sale for $5

Product Description: NIVEA In-Shower Body Lotions are a hassle-free way to moisturise your skin while in the shower. Designed to be used after shower gel, it leaves skin feeling hydrated and silky soft – even after towel drying. The NIVEA In-Shower Body Lotion range is available for both normal to dry and very dry skin types. NIVEA In-Shower Body Lotion immediately absorbs into the skin, leaving a nourishing and caring coating on the skin’s surface to give your skin the moisture it needs. So gone are the days where you need to wait around for your skin to absorb moisturiser after showering, and with no greasy after-feeling, you can slip clothes straight on and carry on with your day.

NIVEA In-Shower Body Lotion for normal to dry skin contains Sea Minerals that will leave skin feeling soft and hydrated.

How it works: NIVEA In-shower Body Lotions are activated by water and immediately absorb into the skin. It leaves a nourishing and caring film on the skin surface without a sticky feeling.

Four Simple Steps to Moisturised Skin

Application is a breeze and works in four simple steps:

1. WASH – Cleanse with shower gel as usual and rinse off
2. APPLY – Stepping back from the shower stream, apply a generous amount of NIVEA In-Shower Body Lotion. You’ll be amazed how quickly it rubs in
3. RINSE – The caring formula will immediately be absorbed by your skin and then you can rinse off
4. READY– Dry off and you can get dress immediately!

Ingredients: Aqua, Cera Microcristallina, Paraffinum Liquidum, Glycerin, Cetearyl Alcohol, Hydrogenated Coco-Glycerides, Stearyl Alcohol, Myristyl Alcohol, Maris Sal, Sodium Carbomer, Sodium Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Aluminum Starch Octenylsuccinate, Phenoxyethanol, Methylisothiazolinone, Linalool, Benzyl Alcohol, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Geraniol, Limonene, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Parfum

My take on Nivea In Shower Body Lotion Skin Conditioner:

Comes in a big quite bulky bottle which has a unique shape, the colour is the trademark white with blue printing. The flip top cap gives out the necessary amount in one squeeze. This is not a moisturising body wash; this is a hassle-free way to moisturise while you’re in the shower. After showering I just apply this on my body ( No need to towel dry but don’t apply if you are dripping wet, just step away from the shower for a minute). The colour and consistency is of a regular lotion and the sea minerals scent is fresh and clean. This product is steam activated and said to moisturise skin immediately but I like to leave it for at least one whole minute. After washing off I did not feel a difference in my skin but after towel drying I felt my skin was sufficiently moisturised just like if you apply a regular body lotion.

I must admit I was sceptical that this would work as it seems like you are washing away the lotion so to speak but let me tell you it really does work! I have used this one and off and can noticeably feel and see the difference – gone are the rough, dry and unsightly skin on my elbows and knees as well as legs. When i use this continuously I feel there is more improvement. I still use my body butter or lotion (since it is summer now) at night.

The only thing I don’t like about this product is the packaging. It is heavy and bulky to use in the shower but it does not slip even if handled with wet hands. Because this comes in a bottle which has to be squeezed to get the product out, it is difficult to get the last bit out of the bottle. I wish this came in a tube instead with a softer packaging, it would be more easy to use.

Pros of Nivea In Shower Body Lotion Skin Conditioner:

• This is very useful for busy mornings as it provides instant moisture without making skin greasy
• The scent is clean and fresh, doesn’t linger for too long so wont clash with perfumes
• The price is very economical as we receive a 250 ml for around $5
• This product works instantly
• Doesn’t breakout skin or cause any reactions

Cons of Nivea In Shower Body Lotion Skin Conditioner:

• Difficult to get the last bit of product from the packaging
• This won’t work in winter or if your skin is extremely dry, you would need a leave on product for that.

IMBB rating: Overall I’ll give this product 4.5/5 when considering the price and efficiency.
