Nivea SOS Lip Balm with SPF 15 Review

I saw a query on “Ask IMBB” today about suggestions for effective lip balms for dry and chapped lip balms and that’s when I realized that I do have a lip balm with me that’s very effective in countering dry and chapped lips, and its the Nivea SOS Lip Balm.  Though, I got a few of these from abroad, I sincerely hope it is available at Sephora or online.

My Take on Nivea SOS Lip Balm with SPF 15

I absolutely love this lip balm.  It has a super creamy texture which just glides on the lips like butter.  The balm is not tinted, its off white.  This lip balm has no specific fragrance, though I can sniff out the typical “Nivea” fragrance.  This lip balm claims to contain calendula oil and panthenol and it must be true since it hydrates and moisturizes the lips really well.  I do not know whether one can wear it overnight because of its SPF 15 value, but I do, and I wake up with moisturized lips.

Lip Cream

Its very effective in treating chapped lips and the most important factor is that its not extensively sticky.  Since it is not tinted, it won’t impart any color, just goes very “dewy” on the lips.  It has a SPF content of 15 that protects against UVA and UVB rays.  Its a very small tube and so one can easily carry it in a clutch or even in the coin purse.  I think its a must have for everyone, a balm that moisturizes, hydrates, and protects from harmful sun rays, what more would we need in a lip balm!  However, if you are looking for something for pigmented lips, skip this, because this goes on dewy and sheer on the lips.

Nivea Lip Balm

Cons of Nivea SOS Lip Balm with SPF 15:
