There is no such thing as too much protection from the sun, right? At least, I think so. I cannot step out into the sun without a sun block, otherwise red spots start appearing on my hands and my face becomes red. The shade of hands in comparison with the rest of my body is dark. I bought this product in the hope that it will end up in a miracle. Sadly, it didn’t!

The bottle has a flat top and a flip cap which is very convenient.

The lotion is white in colour and the consistency is neither very thick nor very thin. I guess, that is why it gets absorbed very quickly and doesn’t feel very heavy.

What it Claimed:

The lotion has been developed to prevent skin darkening and premature skin aging. Advanced UVA/UVB filters protect your skin while Iso-protectine and Vitamin E work at neutralizing skin damaging radicals. The skin’s own protection system is reinforced preventing premature skin aging and making it 3x more resistant to fight damaging skin stress factors such as pollution, smoke and UV rays.

The label reads suitable for all skin types.

What Nivea UV Protection Body Lotion Did:

I applied this lotion very religiously for a few weeks in the hope that it will do something for my hands. The lotion was not very thick and smelled like a typical Nivea lotion. I have oily skin, but it didn’t feel very heavy and was absorbed quickly. If you’re looking for intensive moisturization or a body lotion for winter season, this is not for you.

I stopped using sun block for a few days in order to see what this product was capable of doing, but it ended in disappointment. Although, my skin didn’t burn on staying out in the sun, it was still getting darker.

However, you can buy it if you are looking for a lotion, which can be used with your sun block.

Aqua, Glycerly stearate, Citrate, Glycerin, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Cetyl Alcohol, Caprylic/Capric triglyceride, Octyldodecanol, Dicaprylyl ether, Glucosylrutin, Tocopheryl acetate, Butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane, Sodium carboner, Disodium EDTA, Isoquercitrin, BHT, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben(Preservative with anti-fungal properties), Parfum.
