Hope you all are doing great! Today, I am reviewing a lip balm from NYC. This is the NYC Applelicious Glossy Lip Balm. The shade is “Applelicious Pink” and the shade number is 355.

My Experience with NYC Applelicious Glossy Lip Balm – Applelicious Pink 355:

I generally do not prefer colored lip balms because most of them have low pigmentation, which is not enough to cover my pigmented lips, but when I saw the NYC Applelicious Glossy Lip Balm in my local drugstore, the cute apple core was too much to resist! They are also so inexpensive that even if they turn out to be totally bad, I would not regret too much. So, I got four of these in the shades – Big Apple Red, Apple Blossom, Garnet Gala and Applecious Pink. I picked the red/pink shades which appeared the most pigmented!

The first three shades have already been reviewed here on IMBB. Out of these 4 shades, my favorites are Big Apple Red and Applelicious Pink, which are the most pigmented! Apple Blossom is too sheer, though a pretty color. Garnet Gala turned out to be the worst as it contains shimmer and also lacks pigmentation, though it appears so dark in the tube. Now, let me tell you more about Applecious Pink!

The lip balm comes in a hot pink tube with a transparent cap. The shade name and number are printed on a sticker at the bottom of the tube, the color of the sticker being the same as the lipstick color. The cap fits tightly enough to carry it in your bag.

The lip balm looks like a bright hot pink in the tube, but on the lips, it appears to be a more muted medium pink. A pretty color for all skin tones for everyday use. This is one of the best pigmented lip balms in this range. It is still sheer compared to a lipstick, but you can definitely see the color, even on my pigmented lips.

The texture of this lip balm is quite creamy and glides easily on the lips. It claims to contain Shea Butter, Jojoba and Avocado Oil. The moisturizing core seems to really help. I can feel that there is a protective layer on my lips but it is quite comfortable and does not feel greasy or waxy at all. My lips are usually very dry and I have to apply a lip balm all the time to prevent them from getting chapped. This lip balm does a good job of keeping my lips moisturized.

The lip balm has a fruity sweet scent which I really like! This adds some shine to the lips but nothing overly shiny like a lip gloss. The lip balm lasted on my lips for over four hours, after which I had some snacks and the lip balm was partially gone from my lips but did not look patchy or uneven. I am pretty happy that it lasted so long!

Cons of NYC Applelicious Glossy Lip Balm – Applelicious Pink 355:

• The sweet smell may be a con for some.

Would I Recommend NYC Applelicious Glossy Lip Balm – Applelicious Pink 355?

This is a beautiful shade which shows up even on my pigmented lips. It keeps the lips well hydrated. Easy to apply even without a mirror! So it is great to keep in your purse. Do try this or one of the other more pigmented colors, like Big Apple Red.
