Now, today I’m gonna review this gorgeous ‘NYC’ lipstick today i.e. ‘The Rivington Reds (431)’ . As I said because of the tempting lovely lipstick posts on IMBB, I have become a crazy fan of these cuties. This is a gift from my roomie. She bought it from the US. I am in love with this shade.

It comes in a cute and travel-friendly. It comes in a plastic case which looks pretty sturdy.

My experience with NYC City Duet The Rivington Reds 2in1 Lipcolor :

I was looking for girly and a bit lighter red (I know we gals are good at imagining or distinguishing colors. 😛 We are particular about certain colors too 😀 ) This is a dual shade lipstick. It has a red and a shimmery color dual shades in a single lipstick. The packaging is a normal one. It has a transparent good quality plastic cap. As it is see-through / transparent, it helps in distinguishing the shade / choosing the shade in your collection.

You can apply red alone or you can combine the two colors. I personally prefer the red alone. It is the perfect girly red which I was looking for. It gives me an amazing feeling when I apply it.  I tried applying the shimmer shade on top of the red. But I do not like how it alters the red. Girls who prefer shimmery lipsticks can apply the shimmer one alone as well. This lipstick is not moisturizing enough for my dry lips. I apply a lip balm before applying it. It stays for 4 to 5 hours with meals.

If you are not into red, they have many such color combination of dual shades in  this range of lipstick from NYC.

 

Pros of NYC City Duet The Rivington Reds 2in1 Lipcolor :

• Amazing red shade.
• Pretty shimmer gold shade.
• Matte effect if worn alone.
• Staying power is 4-5 hours. (It stays on my lips even after having lunch or snacks)

Cons of NYC City Duet The Rivington Reds 2in1 Lipcolor :

• Not moisturizing enough.
• Availability might be a problem. Its available online though.

Will I purchase NYC City Duet The Rivington Reds 2in1 Lipcolor ? :

Yes I will try more shades if I get a chance.
