I was so happy with NYC’s 405 Blue Rose that I went back to the store again after a few days just to get anotehr shade from this brand. As you can see, I bought the shade “Pure Coral” from the “Satin Matte” range. I love coral shades on others and had always dreamed about a coral that would suit me 😛

Packaging: The packaging is similar to NYC 405 Blue Rose, only that the color of the bullet is coral indicating the shade inside. As the lipstick doesn’t swivel inside completely, you need to be careful while closing the lid. It looks cool as well as sturdy. Name and shade of the lipstick are mentioned at the bottom of the bullet as well. The lipstick is easily identifiable from the crowd of other lipsticks.
My Experience with NYC Expert Last Pure Coral Lip Color:
As the name suggests, the lipstick looks a pure orangish coral to me. Earlier, whenever I had tried coral, it had looked weird on me, but this coral suits me perfectly. I would suggest that all you beauties out there who are searching for a coral lipstick, try it once in the store to see if this is the one for you.
“Pure Coral” is superbly pigmented and covers the lips in one swipe. The color is buildable and has a creamy texture. The lipstick belongs to NYC’s “Satin Matte” range, but the finish is more satin than matte. The word “satin matte” is not misleading, but aptly describes the finish.
The lipstick doesn’t look matte at all on the lips. Therefore, if you’re strictly looking for a matte finish, then this one is not for you.
Though I have dry lips, I love this satin matte range. My lips do not crave for hydration after I apply this lipstick. “Pure Coral” smells of vanilla and that goes away immediately after application. Due to its creamy finish, it stays on the lips for 3 to 3.5 hours without eating, which is quite good in my opinion. It fades beautifully and doesn’t bleed at all.

- If you ignore their 6-hour claim, then staying power of “Pure Coral” is quite good. If you want it to stay for 6 hours, then you cannot talk, eat or even drink a glass of water. We cannot do without a glass of water for 6 hours. Can we?
Cons of NYC Expert Last Pure Coral Lip Color:
- Packaging needs careful handling. I always fear that I might mess it up whenever I open or close the lid.
- Might not be travel friendly. Please carry it in a separate makeup pouch.
- Transfers on to coffee mugs and glasses.

Yes, I would definitely repurchase. I also recommend it to people who are looking for a coral shade and to those who want to come out of their comfort zone and want to try some bold colors. They have a few more interesting colors from this range which I am looking forward to try.
