This is third and last NYC lipstick from my stash that I have put up for review (I have reviewed the shades “Creamy Mauve” and “Forever Fuchsia” before). I am done with red and pinks as of now, maybe I should try peaches and oranges now. Read on for more details on this particular shade “Red Flame.”

My Experience NYC Red Flame Expert Last Lip Color:
The packaging is the same as other “Expert Last” lip colors with a transparent cap and coloured tube. Overall, I would describe it as an average sturdy packaging at this price.
If we go by name of the lipstick, we would expect it to be a bold red color, but “Red Flame” is quite a humble red shade lipstick. The shade is more on the peachy side than red. It is actually a light shade when applied in a single coat. The color can be built up to a more bright red shade with more swipes. The shade reminds me of my mother’s collection actually. She likes to wear red lip colors that are not too red. I find this lipstick to be a little less pigmented as it need more coats for a nice opaque shade on my lips.
I don’t know how the same range has different pigmentation intensities. There is a slight hint of shimmer to the lipstick and can be seen when more than one swipes are applied. It also has a slightly glossy finish to it. My lips are very dry, but this lipstick does a good job at not drying out my lips any further. It’s a kind of day wear red shade that does not look over the top. I actually picked it up for its bold red tone, but kind of like this shade too.
The staying power is very good and this one needs to be re-touched quite often. I also felt this shade transfers more compared to the other two shades that I have tried from this same range, but I am not complaining as I am getting overall good quality at this price.

Yes for people who are looking for a beautiful light red shade. Maybe I would repurchase this one.
