My review for today is about a new eyeshadow range from NYC. They have launched this in a fancy packaging for spring 2013.

My experience with NYC Sparkle Eye Dust Eyeshadow in Brilliant Sapphire:
This was in the new area in NYC cosmetic section in Walmart. So, bought it after looking at the brilliant blue shade close to that peacock blue. It comes in a lip gloss like tube with a doe foot applicator. The consistency of the Eyeshadow is thick and powdery. They say its sparkle eye dust but this shade doesn’t have that much sparkle in it. The doe applicator has eye shadow particles all over it and it’s really messy. The particles fall all over the place, even on face when you apply it. Application with the doe foot applicator is very bad as it doesn’t blend properly. But when hands or an eyeshadow brush is used the application is perfect.
Pigmentation is awesome for this eyeshadow and the blue shade is really cool. The color stays for 5-6 hours for me and it’s easy to clean and reapply it or take it off whenever you want. It’s best for party events and gives an awesome look during night time.

• Application with its applicator is really a problem. It gives out a lot of powder and makes it look so dark and spills all over the place. So had to be used with eye shadow brush only.
• Those who do not like shimmery/sparkles wont me comfortable with this eye shadows.
• Contains Paraben

I love the blue shade a lot nowadays. It gives a good effect to my brown eyes. For 3$ this one is really great with its pigmentation and staying power. Try out all the shades in this range as they are really good. I recommend this to all.
