Today, after a long time I am back with another review of an eye shadow trio from the brand NYC. These trios come in a variety of shades and this one is NYC Urban Spice HD Color Trio Eye Shadow. It is a trio with two neutral shades and a darker color. Continue reading to know my experience with this trio.

My Experience with NYC Urban Spice HD Color Trio Eye Shadow:

Packaging: The trio comes packed in a rectangular packaging with a transparent lid. The lid opens up vertically and the three colors are placed horizontally. The trio comes with a mini dual side applicator which is actually of no use, especially because of its small size. The shadows have a plastic cover that mentions the area where the shadows can be applied.

Shades: As I mentioned above, the trio contains two neutral and a darker shade. The first color is the darkest one. It is a dark green which contains loads of golden shimmers. The shimmer is present in large amount. The second color of the trio is a highlighting color which actually does not contain any obvious shimmers, but gives a bright pearly shine. The third color of the trio is a peachy color which also contains golden shimmers.

Pigmentation: All the three colors in the trio are highly pigmented. A single swipe imparts a high amount of color to the lids; though, blending them fades the color a bit. The colors can be layered up to get more intense color.

Texture: All the colors are very smooth to apply. The colors do contain shimmers, but that does not make it uneasy to wear or use. The colors are easy to blend and they go very well with each other.

Staying Power: Though, these are not very long-stay eyeshadows, they do have a decent staying time. The colors can stay without fading for 3-4 hours after which they start to fade. The colors might crease on oily eyelids, but this can be avoided by using a good eye primer underneath the shadow.
