Hey Everyone!!

As promised I’m here with my review on the NYX 5 Color Shadow palette from The Caribbean Collection “I dream of St. Lucia” (ESP5C09)! Yay!! I’m really excited to share my review on this!

This was my first product from NYX and it has been in my collection for a while now. I’ve tried using every color in every way possible that I could think of. I was tempted to buy this palette out of all The Caribbean Collection was because of its colors!! They are so vibrant and gorgeous! I love bright and bold colors!!

Product Description and Packaging:

This palette comes in black sturdy case with a white palm tree picture depicting Caribbean theme. There’s a mirror on the underside of the lid, which I like and is very travel friendly. It also comes with a couple of sponge applicators, which is better because you can use each side for different color.

Ingredients:

Mica, Talc, Zinc Stearate, Mineral Oil, 2-Ethylhexyl Palmitate, TridecylTrimellitate, BHT, Methylparaben, Propylparaben.

My take on this Palette:

The palette includes Green, Blue, Yellow, Pink and Orange shades which are very bright and vibrant and have a very little golden shimmer in it.

Pigmentation:

It’s clear from the swatches that the colors are pretty pigmented. Out of all, the Orange is most pigmented and the Green and Yellow being the least, but they can be layered up to build the desired color. If used with a white eyeshadow base or a good primer, the colors pop out a lot more!

Texture:

It has a soft and smooth texture but a little powdery. It tends to fall out a little if there’s too much on the applicator.

Usage:

This palette is more for summers than for winters or fall; however the orange eyeshadow can be used as a warm undertone with other neutral colors during fall or winter. Yellow can be used as a base, brow highlighter and to brighten the inner corners of the eyes.

Lasting Power:

6 hours or more; this is great!! Honestly I haven’t wore any of my eyemakeup for more than 6 hours.

Cons of NYX  Color Eyeshadow Palette:

The very little fall out because of the powdery texture. But not that big a con since I don’t mind it much.

Will I buy NYX  Color Eyeshadow Palette again?

Well, Yeah, if I finish this one soon. But I’m certainly looking forward to buy the other palettes from the collection!!
