I finally found a shop in Delhi that stores the NYX product in a not-so-escalated price (Yes!! I am looking at you Sephora :P) I bought this eye pencil from that shop itself. Read on to find out if you should pick this up or not.

My Experience with NYX Eye/Eyebrow pencil in Black Shimmer:

Packaging: It is a simple pencil which needs to be sharpened. Nothing fancy but then I have no problem with sharpening my pencils since we get more product in such type of pencils rather than twist ups.

Texture: The eye pencil glides quite smoothly and does not tug. Although the pencil is smooth but once sharpened the tip stays sharp for quite long. So I guess a single pencil will go a long way.

Shade: It is a black eyeliner pencil with silver shimmer in it. It looks beautiful in itself and smoked out look can be achieved with this in no time. I have been bored with the black kajal for some time now so I think this is nice to add a spark to your eyes (whatever that means). 😛

Staying power: This is the bad part about this pencil. They smudge badly and people with oily eyelids all year long should skip this. The shimmer stays put though on the lids. I have dry eyelids during winters so it stays for 3-4 hours. The trick is to powder your eyelids before and also after and then adding another coat. You can smoke it out to a little bit. It looks great in smokey eyes.

Pigmentation: Pigmentation is awesome like all NYX products. One swipe is all you need.

Pros of NYX Eye/Eyebrow pencil in Black Shimmer:

• Glides smoothly.
• Good pigmentation.
• Nice alternative to boring black kajals.

Cons of NYX Eye/Eyebrow pencil in Black Shimmer:

• Smudges a lot.
• Not available widely in India.
• Fades off after 3-4 hours.
