Hello my loves!
What’s up with all you beautiful women out there? Today’s post will be a review on the latest addition to my make-up collection called the “NYX Born to Glow Liquid Illuminator in the shade Sunbeam”. I got the travel size of this product, because I wanted to give it a try before laying my hands on the bigger version! This product was earlier available in two shades, namely, Sun Beam and Gleam; two other shades have recently been added called “Sun Goddess” and “Pure Gold”. I wanted to give liquid illuminators a try, but could never really find a good one; I heard good things about this one on various blogs and thought I would just go for it! Read further to know my thoughts on the product and if it is worth buying or not!

What the company claims:
Enjoy a luminous, lit-from-within glow all year long with our luxuriously lightweight Liquid Illuminator. Now available in four light-catching shades, this multifunctional formula can be used as a foundation base or over cheekbones, décolletage, and cupids bow for a natural-looking radiance that’ll have everyone talking.

My Take on NYX Born to Glow Liquid Illuminator in Sunbeam:

Packaging: The product comes in a peachy yet pale pink tube with a black cap. It looks more like a lip gloss tube; you need to squeeze the tube for the product to dispense out, which I feel is really hygienic and convenient, especially when you are on the go! You won’t end up using more product than needed! On the packaging, it is described as “Light-weight liquid illuminator that gives skin a refreshed glow and beautiful highlight”.

Color: “Sunbeam” is described as a “pale pink pearl” on the website, and I love how beautiful it is! Even though, it is too light for my skin, I love using the strobing method with it! You can use it under your foundation, mixed with your foundation or use it just for highlighting the high points of your face, and it looks amazing! I follow up with a powder highlight for that added radiance! This illuminator is the perfect drugstore dupe of the “Benefit highbeam illuminator”.

Texture: Applying an illuminator was never this easy. Just put some product on the back of your hand, and apply using a sponge, brush or your fingers. Also, a little product goes a really long way when it comes to this product! It is indeed light-weight as described by NYX, and also very creamy which blends like a dream and leaves a pretty glow with silver sparkles that does not look over-powering at all! However, one needs to be very quick with blending as it settles superfast.

Color pay-off: The color pay-off is great, and just the way an illuminator must be. Also, you can build it up to your liking; following it up with a powder blush or highlight will just add to its beauty. But it can be used on its own and it still works wonders!

Staying power: Once you blend it thoroughly, and set it, it’s going nowhere, like seriously! It lasted on me the whole day. I do not know how it would work for people with drier skin!

Fragrance: It has a very faint scent to it. It does not have any fruity or floral notes and it is certainly not bothersome to people with sensitive noses!
