I have been the biggest fan of NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams and I adore the formula a lot. They recently came out with few new colours which are quite different. I picked up the shade Budapest because I thought it was quite unique. Here are my thoughts on this lip color.

My Experience with NYX Budapest Soft Matte Lip Cream:
The packaging is the same as the other soft matte lip creams but I feel like the doe-foot applicator is a little smaller on this one. It has a mousse type texture and this one doesn’t dry down completely matte. It is not highly pigmented.
Coming to my experience, firstly, the shade is quite patchy when you first apply it. You have to go over and over again to get the right colour all over the lips. I have had the same issues with all the colours but this one seems to be patchier. The good part is that layering these lipsticks will not make it look messy or weird. It does settle into the fine lines and feels drying after 6 to 7 hours. This particular shade does not dry down completely matte on my lips and it takes a while to settle in.
The shade is quite unique which I love. This is a nude brown red purple mixed together. You can see hints of red purple and nude brown too. Hard to describe the colour but it is quite an everyday lipstick for me. It is long wearing and lasted on my lips for about 7 hours properly. It does not get crumbly or fade away. It stayed on the lips but it can look quite drying if you have lots of lines on your lips. Even though this lipstick doesn’t dry down completely matte like the other ones, it does not transfer. Also, you will not feel like you have lipstick on which is incredible and I love the cupcake batter type scent. Some people might not like the scent but I love it!

• Settles into fine lines.
• Can be drying for some people.
• Doesn’t dry down completely matte.

I have loved the Soft Matte Lip Creams from NYX and this one doesn’t disappoint either. It does have some cons but you can work with them and make this lipstick work wonders. I will not repurchase the same colour but I will surely try the other new colours from this line.
