After reviewing two lipsticks from NYX Cosmetics, I am up with another NYX product’s review. Today I am reviewing their eyeshadow pigment called NYX Dramatic Chromatic Pigment in the shade Red. I was not an eyeshadow person before, but now I have started to like eyeshadows and keep hoarding them whenever possible. This eyeshadow was bought for me by my friend; she was visiting UK and I insisted her to get some products for me, and she agreed. She bought two NYX eyeshadows for me along with some more makeup stuff. These eyeshadow pigments are available in an array of beautiful shades to choose from. My Experience with NYX CES 50 Red Dramatic Chromatic Eyeshadow Pigment:
NYX pigment comes in a cylindrical plastic jar with a black cap. The jar is transparent which makes it easy for you to locate the shades in our stash. The range name is printed all over the jar; the shade name and number are printed at the bottom of the jar, we have to peel the paper glued on the bottom to reveal the ingredient list.
It has a twist-open cap which closes tightly and we can carry it along in a purse without any risk. The pigment is secured inside a jar with a plastic lid, I don’t like such packagings because whenever I open the lid, the pigments spills out of the jar and creates a mess all around. We should be careful while taking out the lid. The plastic jar is quite sturdy.
I really don’t understand why this pigment is named as Red because it is not at all red in color, in fact it is a beautiful pink color with golden reflects in it. The shade looks very beautiful when applied all over the eyelids. Though the shade looks very dark inside the jar, it does not show up as intensely. To build up the intensity, I apply it with a wet brush and in that way it works just fine.
The texture of the eyeshadow pigment is very soft and smooth. It can be applied at a day time to give the eyelids a beautiful wash of pink color; to build the intensity, as I mentioned earlier, apply it with a wet brush. It gives an amazing metallic finish to the eyes. The eyeshadow pigment is not at all pigmented, it needs to be layered 2-3 times to get the desired opaqueness. I applied it after my base makeup and yeah as usual there was a fallout; I had a hard time to remove the sparkles from my face and my face makeup also got ruined.
I am not really impressed with the staying power of the pigment. It stays on my eyelids for about 2 hours without an eyeshadow primer. It should stay for half an hour more with an eyeshadow primer . The pigments start to crease from the inner corner of the eyes after some time, which is not acceptable at all as it belongs to such a reputed brand.

Would I Recommend NYX CES 50 Red Dramatic Chromatic Eyeshadow Pigment?
No! Better buy some other eyeshadow palettes available in India at this price. Palettes by Lakme and Maybelline are much better and worth the money.
