NYX Chaos Jumbo Lip Pencil Review

Today’s lip product is a result of my recent NYX haul. I love using lip crayons and pencils because I find them easier to apply and hence ended up ordering the NYX Jumbo Lip Pencil in the shade “Chaos.” Read on to find out more.

My Experience with NYX Chaos Jumbo Lip Pencil:

Packaging: The lip pencil comes in a chubby stick format and is black in color. The pencil is not retractable. It is made of PVC material and can be sharpened if needed. The packaging of the pencil is pretty average. Also, there are chances of nicking the tip of the lip pencil while trying to put the cap on. On the positive side, the narrow lip product makes the application easy and precise, especially in areas like the cupid’s bow and inner corners of the mouth.

Shade/Pigmentation:  Chaos is a bright blue-toned Barbie pink. This is a shade which will suit cooler and lighter skin tones better. It is a bright fun shade and can become a go-to shade for summers.

The lip pencil is strongly pigmented and imparts a bright pop of color in a single swipe.

Texture/Finish: The formula is very creamy and the lip pencil glides like butter on the lips. However, since the formula is so creamy, it can also slip and bleed and you need to be extra-careful while applying the product. The finish is glossy crème. The product does not feel drying on the lips, but it does not impart any extra hydration either. It does not accentuate any lip lines.

Lasting Power: The lasting power on the lip pencil is about 3-4 hours. It does transfer to cups and glasses. Since this is a bright shade, it leaves a stain behind.

• Strong pigmentation.
• Leaves behind a stain.
• Very affordable.

Cons of NYX Chaos Jumbo Lip Pencil:

• This shade might be too bright for some.
• Average staying power.
• Needs to be sharpened.
• Extra creamy makes application difficult.
