NYX Femme Extra Creamy Round Lipstick Review

As I mentioned in my previous post, I went on a shopping spree at Ulta and purchased a few NYX cosmetics. So here is one more review of the lipstick that I purchased.  May-June always reminds me of the summer vacations that I used to enjoy during my school days – two months vacation to Kerala to meet grandparents, relatives, and having fun with cousins. How I miss those days!  Well, summer is my favorite season, bright sunny days are a sign of positivity for me. When I saw the lipstick, it reminded me of the summers in India 🙂  This review is about NYX Extra Creamy Round Lipstick in the shade “Femme.” I wasn’t really sure of the color as I have never sported bold colors, but I still decided to give it a try. So, read on to know my views on this!

Product Description:

NYX Extra Creamy Round Lipstick is our classic lipstick for all occasions. The mineral-based emollient formula offers a beautiful velvety texture, saturated color and it resists wear and smudging. It’s your go-to lipstick. From Pure Nude to Pink Lyric to Chic Red, Round Lipstick is available in a jaw-dropping variety of shades.

$4 for 0.16 oz or 4.5 gm.

Packaging:  This lipstick comes in a black container with the lipstick shade visible at the bottom. It is in a twistable container. The black color case contains the name of the brand, the code of the product (643) and list of ingredients etc. written in white color. The cap opens and shuts without any difficulty.

Fragrance:  The lipstick has a kind of chemical or medicinal scent. The scent does tend to stick around and goes away after a little while.

My Take on NYX Femme Extra Creamy Round Lipstick:

To be honest, I loved it! I wasn’t expecting much from this lipstick, because it’s at a low price ($4), but I was pleasantly surprised by its quality!  The color of this lipstick is a bright coral red with a dominating orange color and an added sheen. Well, I’m still figuring out the exact color. It can be used with NYX lip liner and lip gloss as desired. Femme lipstick is pretty hydrating and nicely pigmented. One swipe is enough to impart a good color on your lips. I prefer 2-3 swipes to get that bright color.

It wears off easily over the day (can’t expect much at this price). It started to fade off after I had my meal and had to re-apply. So, keep a mirror handy with you for touch ups. It does not stain your lips, so it’s pretty easy to remove. I’m getting so many compliments for this color from my friends. This one is surely keeping me happy!

Added benefit is NYX’s incredible value. At this price, I want to buy more shades to add to my dressing table. 😉

• Easy to remove as it doesn’t stain the lips.
• Affordable price, so you can try out all the shades it offers.

Cons of NYX Femme Extra Creamy Round Lipstick:

• Staying power is less. It fades off after you have a meal.
• No SPF.

Would I Repurchase NYX Femme Extra Creamy Round Lipstick?

Definitely. I loved this color plus compliments certainly make me happy! I would recommend it to all those who love bright colors.
