My Experience With NYX Golden Mauve Brush On Lip Gloss:

Packaging: The brush On lip glosses from NYX come in a rectangular tube packaging. It’s made out of clear plastic so you can easily spot the colour in your stash. The applicator is pretty long. The brush is kind of stiff and tapers at the end. It has a very different brush than most lip glosses. The packaging is sleek and the product doesn’t leak out, so it is travel friendly.

Texture: The texture is creamy enough. It’s neither too thick nor too thin. It is sticky but not the kind you hate. The shimmers are very finely milled, so you don’t feel them when you purse your lips. The gloss moisturizes my lips when it is still on the lips. It doesn’t exactly hydrate, but my lips do not feel dry after I remove this either.

Colour/Pigmentation: Golden Mauve looks like a bright lilac purple in the tube but when swatched, it comes off as a very subtle lilac purple shade. It is very aptly named. It has a lot of golden shimmers, but on the lips they look really very pretty. The shimmers are very fine so they give the appearance of fuller lips rather than looking like a glittery or I should say shimmery mess. The pigmentation is buildable, which is always nice because you can layer it as you like. I prefer this gloss on its own rather than applying it over a lipstick.

Staying Power: It stays for about 3 hours. It fades with a meal. This gloss doesn’t leave a stain behind, but it transfers easily.

Smell/Taste: I do not like the smell of this gloss either. I don’t know why NYX lip glosses have such an awful smell! But thankfully no taste!
