This is the first thing I have used from NYX. Everywhere there are great reviews for this brand. I’m reviewing a jumbo lip pencil in Rosie brown today.

My take on this NYX Jumbo Lip Pencil – Rosie Brown 701

These pencils are very pretty looking black crayon like. Jumbo lip pencils are black in packaging and eye pencils are white in color. Pencil is sturdy but the cap is not, I cracked it the very first time I held it. But it s istill doing its job so no worries. First of all the color I chose is Rosie brown, as the name suggests I thought it must be light brown with a hint of red or pink. But its not. Brown in nude is there but rosie is missing. Its light brown in frosty look. The frost finish have taken away from rose pink. So now I need to layer it with other color to make it look good on my face.
Now the good point. These are buttery creamy colors packed in a pencil. They are so soft you have to apply them lightly and they glide on like a dream. I think even the cream wont be this creamy. These are semi glossy semi matte. It gives a nice frosty cum dewy look. I really think it makes my thin lips looks plump.

These lip pencils are very very pigmented, even this nude color is so pigmented I just need a single swipe with a light hand. But also I would recommend some lip balm apply to your lips before because thus pencil was kind of drying. It accentuates the lines on my lips which other lipsticks normally doesn’t do. Another thing I like is that the staying power of this lip pencil is more than average. It even survives food though with little fading.I was looking for a frosty lip color and this does the purpose very well.

Cons of NYX Jumbo Lip Pencil – Rosie Brown 701

* Its expensive ( waise I bought it on discount).
* This color won’t suit dusky beauties on its own. But layering it with mauve would make it great.
* Its bit drying after sometime.
* Not for people,who don’t like frosty finish.

Overall :

Though it may not be the best but I still recommend these jumbo lip pencils to everyone because these are different somehow. This is a full fledged cream lipstick packed in a pencil. Even though this color is not the best but go for other colors.
