My Experience with NYX Sunrise Brush On Lip Gloss:

Packaging:  The brush On lip glosses from NYX come in a rectangular tube packaging. It’s made out of clear plastic so you can easily spot the colour in your stash. The applicator is pretty long. The brush is kind of stiff and tapers at the end. It’s a very different brush than most lip glosses. The packaging is sleek and the product doesn’t leak out, so it’s travel friendly.

Colour/Pigmentation: Sunrise is a pretty barbie pink colour. It’s a blue-based pink which looks very beautiful. It’s not an over-the-top shade, it’s quite subtle. It can easily pass off as an every day pink. All the NYX glosses look super bold in the packaging, but they come out sheer. I love the pigmentation of this gloss. You can totally build up the color up to your liking. The application is often streaky when wearing it sheer due to the brush. Hence either you have to use a finger or purse your lips for smooth application. No such problem is faced when you wear it bold. The gloss is super glossy and makes your lips very juicy looking.

Texture: The texture is creamy enough. It’s neither too thick nor too thin. It’s sticky, but it’s the right kind of stickiness.  The shimmers are very finely milled, so you don’t feel them when you purse your lips together. The gloss moisturises my lips when it’s on. It doesn’t exactly hydrate, but my lips do not feel dry after I remove this.

Staying Power:  It stays for about 3 hours and fades with a meal. This gloss doesn’t leave a stain behind, but it transfers easily.

Smell/Taste:  I do not like the smell of this gloss. I don’t know why NYX lip glosses have an awful smell! :/ If you know pineapple flavoured Pepsodent toothpaste for kids smells like, then you would feel it’s the same! No taste thankfully!

• Horrible smell.
• Low staying power.

Final Verdict:

It’s a very pretty shade that can be worn daily and is quite affordable too as little gloss goes a long way! Apart from the smell, I don’t have any problem with it!
