Today, I will be reviewing NYX Roll On Shimmer in the shade RES 16 Walnut. This is the second time that I am purchasing this product from Sephora, because I love the look of this product on my eyes.

My Experience with NYX Walnut Roll On Eye Shimmer:
The product comes in a roll-on packaging that allows you to control the amount of shimmer you want. It has a plastic, transparent, sturdy body and hence is travel friendly. The amount of product left in the bottle can be seen. The black cap on top is quite sturdy and closes down completely. The pigment itself feels quite velvet like and smooth. It glides on smoothly without a lot of fallout. The colour is a brown chocolate-y shade and will suit all skin tones, especially medium to dark skin. It is a very fine glitter, and the colour payoff is amazing.
I purchased this for a friend’s birthday, and after I swatched it at the Sephora store, I decided to get one for myself as well. It is a multi-purpose product; it can be used on the eyes, face and body. On the body, it can be used along the length of your legs to make them appear slimmer and longer. On the face, it can be used as a very glittery highlighter. It can also be used on the eyes as the lid eye colour.
I like to use this shimmer on my eyes mostly. I combine it with a bold lip look by applying this shimmer all over my lids. I finish the look with mascara and it looks subtle and elegant at the same time. The intensity of shimmer can be controlled. For more glitter, roll it multiple times on the same spot until desired shimmer is achieved. For a more diffused look, roll the glitter and blur it out using fingers or a brush.
This roll on shimmer does have a fallout problem if used directly from the bottle. I like to apply the shimmer to specific places on my eye and then distribute the product using my fingers or I roll it on the back of my hand and pick up the product using an eyeshadow brush. It can also be placed in the inner corners of your eyes to brighten up any makeup look.
I tried using it as a highlight for my cheek bones and cupid’s bow, but it was a tad bit glittery for me. I would reserve that look for parties. For me, the shimmer stays in place for all night long. The product can be easily removed using makeup wipes. All in all, I really love this product.

Absolutely, I would definitely recommend this shade because it is so pretty and can be worn on its own. It is a must – have product from NYX. This is my second repurchase of the same shade, and I will purchase it again after this one finishes.
