Greetings to everyone who loves to sport dark, vampy pout!
Yesterday, I went to my local Ulta simply because I was dying to buy some makeup products and since dark lipstick shades are my new found love, I picked up a couple of dark shades from NYX and Wet n Wild. Below is my experience with it.

My Experience with NYX Wine and Dine High Voltage Lipstick:
I happen to notice that this range of NYX lipsticks has not been reviewed yet on the blog. So, let me do the honors of introducing these size zero beauties that happen to come in 22 different shades and are absolutely adorable! Since these beauties are so puny, I didn’t even notice them in the NYX aisle when I was busy browsing through other ranges. But then, I stumbled upon these and can’t thank my fate enough that I tried them. I blame Ulta for stashing these awesome lipsticks in the dreary bottom of the rack because they deserve more lime light.
First thing first, looks! Honestly, the packaging looks a little cheap and fragile, especially because of its flimsy clear plastic cap. But, having said that, I feel it serves the purpose and helps choose the shade of color one wants to wear. It has a twist up mechanism and the product is in the form of a skinny stub.
Formula and texture are the best part. The texture is super creamy and glides like a dream. It is not hyper glossy, but has minimal sheen and one can get a matte look by blotting it with a tissue. Also, this particular shade has a very mild chocolate fragrance.
Pigmentation and staying power wise, these lipsticks are extremely pigmented and a single sweep gives a very intense color. For me, this shade didn’t budge from noon till night with meals and drink in between and came off only with a makeup remover.
Color – this particular shade will go well with all skin tones and will enhance beauty of all those who dare to wear dark shades and defy browbeating society.
Pros of NYX Wine and Dine High Voltage Lipstick:
• Smooth, creamy, buttery formula.
• Simple twist up mechanism.
• Available in 22 shades.
• Awesome staying power.
• Has a nice fragrance.
• Can be used to achieve both matte and glossy look.
• Decently priced.
• Easily available online or in stores.
Cons of NYX Wine and Dine High Voltage Lipstick:
• Packaging.
IMBB Rating:
4.5/5
Would I Repurchase/Recommend NYX Wine and Dine High Voltage Lipstick?
Oh yes! And can’t wait to try out other shades like Hollywood and Flawless. I would ask others to flock to the nearest store and grab one right away.
