My Experience with NYX Zen Eye Shadow:
Packaging: I love the packaging. It is smaller than my MAC mono eyeshadows; product comes in a nice little shiny black case. A clear window shows the product and has the brand name printed in black lettering. On the back is an ingredients sticker that also tells the name of the color. These shadows are quite small in size but they serve the purpose well and are perfect for the money paid.
Texture: it is a powder yet compact eye shadow in a circular aluminum pan and has very smooth texture and easy to apply. It has a satin finish with mild shimmer and looks pretty but I felt it applied better with finger tips rather than a brush and if brush has to be used then it should be compact and damp for better application.
Color: it is an olive green colored eye shadow with mild warm shimmer. I like the color but it is very easy to go overboard with it and end up all greasy and grimy looking but if used right then it can be used to do pretty smokey eyes.
Pigmentation: pigmentation is better than regular matte eye shadows but it wears better with a primer underneath. I gently swiped my fingertip on the shadow a few times to pick up some product for the swatch and it does apply easy with minimal fall out. It is a dry/wet shadow and can be used either way but it gives a better wear time if applied with a damp, compact brush.
Application: I used it on my lids and crease and blended it with a light brown shade. It can be worn alone as well as smoke out with a dark shadow; however it works well if used on lids or outer corner of eyes.
Wear time: 8 to 9 hours and maybe more but I removed it after that but it did stay put for the entire duration I wore it. One can increase the wear time if one uses a primer or white eye shadow underneath.
Conclusion: this is a good product for the money paid and I loved this particular shade. I bought 5 shadows from this range and all of them are unique shades. I prefer palettes since they occupy less space but the colors were so irresistible that I had to try out these shadows and also I can depot them and make my own custom palette.

• Olive green color with gold shimmer and will suit most skin tones.
• Will look good on warm as well as cool toned beauties.
• Color can be used on lids or outer corner of eye.
• Has pearl finish.
• Minimal fall out.
• No fragrance.
• Easy to blend.
• Can be used wet or dry.
• Stays on for decent amount of time.
• Shades are good and cover the entire spectrum.
• Affordable and one can acquire all the shades for minimal price.
Cons of NYX Zen Eye Shadow:
• Would require a primer underneath to make color more visible or increase the wear time.
• Has some fall out and is easy to go overboard with this shade.

Would I Repurchase NYX Zen Eye Shadow?
No, because it will last me big time but I am planning to buy all the colors form this range since they perform so well and are so easy on my pocket. I do recommend it to the readers because it works well and is affordable.
