OGX hair products need no introduction on this forum. I have myself used quite a few products from this brand and have always liked what I have used. When I caught sight of this new range on the aisles of my local supermarket, I instantly loved the soothing green bottle. I flipped open the cap and just fell in love with the amazing fragrance. Obviously, I had to get the shampoo 🙂 So, read on to find out if the shampoo performed as great as it smelled.

My Experience with OGX Strength + Body Bamboo Fiber-Full Shampoo:
To begin with, a little about my hair type. I have naturally thick hair, but of late, I have been experiencing a bit of hair fall and hence my hair has lost some of its volume.
Packaging: The shampoo comes in a lovely green transparent plastic packaging. The bottle has a flip-top cap which shuts tight. The transparent bottle helps you to keep a tab of how much product is remaining. Overall, the packaging is similar to other shampoo bottles from OGX.
Fragrance: The first thing that you will notice about this shampoo is its fragrance, and it is a truly an exotic fragrance! Though I cannot really pinpoint what it smells like, the fragrance feels very clean and refreshing. It does feel a bit strong when you are shampooing your hair, but it does not stay for too long and fades away 2-3 hours after shampooing.
Shampoo: The shampoo is colorless and has a thin consistency. It is easy to apply and spreads easily through the hair. For a shampoo which is SLS free, it also lathers up pretty well. I massage it onto my wet hair and then rinse it off with warm water.
Verdict:
My hair feels a bit tangled after using only the shampoo, but this is not a problem for me as I always follow up with a conditioner. The shampoo cleans the hair pretty well and removes all grease. I did not notice any aggravated hair fall after using this shampoo. The shampoo did not dry out my hair.
Now, coming to the main claim of this shampoo – volume! I have to say that I am on the fence on this one. While it does add a bit of a bounce to my hair, it does not really create the thick voluptuous tresses as promised. I personally am fine with the amount of volume that I get, but someone with fine hair might be a tad disappointed.
Pros of OGX Strength + Body Bamboo Fiber-Full Shampoo:
- Amazing fragrance.
- Cleans the hair thoroughly and removes all grease.
- SLS free.
- Does not dry out the hair.
Cons of OGX Strength + Body Bamboo Fiber-Full Shampoo:
- Shampoo on its own will leave you with tangled hair. You need to use conditioner as well.
- If you are looking for ultra-full hair, you will be a little disappointed.

If you are looking to add a slight bounce to your hair, this is a good shampoo to try. I like trying out new products and will not repurchase.
