OGX Weightless Hydration Coconut Water Conditioner Review

Hello sweeties,

Organix is one of my favourite brands when it comes to hair care because these chubby bottles have products without sulphates and that’s the reason I stick to them.  This time, I got a coconut water conditioner because it seemed like a pretty good idea. Let’s see how this conditioner worked for my chemically-treated hair.

My Experience with OGX Weightless Hydration Coconut Water Conditioner:

The Organix cococnut water conditioner comes in the signature OGX bottle, which looks huge and sturdy.  The packaging of Organix stuff is pretty cute, colourful, and very catchy when we enter the stores. But I just found one odd thing, the rest of the bottles that I have tried were bigger in size than this one but the mentioned quantity is same, so what’s up with this one? Just a confusion! Coming to the conditioner, it is meant for dry and damaged hair.

The price is high compared to the other brands, but it offers a sulphate-free formula, so that’s what they are charging extra for. The conditioner is white in color and the consistency is thick. I love such thick conditioners because I can completely drench my hair in the thick creamy paste and I feel it treats my hair better.

This conditioner actually feels weightless on my hair and I keep it for like 5 minutes to treat my hair completely. The scent is the best part about this conditioner! It smells very sweet and tropical, of creamy and fresh coconuts, and I feel like I am standing on some beautiful Hawaiian island and enjoying the vacation.  It smells absolutely heavenly and totally refreshes the senses.  The scent stays till the time the conditioner treats my hair.

My hair feels extremely smooth and detangled when it’s still wet.  It also looks sleek, but the tables are turned after the hair starts to dry. The hair shaft looks smooth, silky and nicely treated, but not the hair ends. The ends look very dry, in fact, a little more dry than before, and my hair was having static.

OGX Weightless Hydration Coconut Water Conditioner

Overall, I feel it’s a nice way to treat hair, but the effect on the hair ends is not that great. During winters, my hair is already dry, so I wouldn’t complain a lot, but yet, it has to do what it claims, be it winters or summers. The next day, my hair looked better and manageable than freshly washed. Other Organix conditioners live up to their claims, but this one left me a bit disappointed.

Pros of OGX Weightless Hydration Coconut Water Conditioner:

  • Good quantity provided.
  • Creamy consistency.
  • Awesome scent of fresh tropical coconuts.
  • Makes my hair silky, smooth and shiny.
  • The formula is actually weightless.
  • Improves the quality of hair over a period of time.
  • Sulphate-free formula.
  • Organix does not test on animals.

Cons of OGX Weightless Hydration Coconut Water Conditioner:

  • Pricey.
  • Makes hair ends dry and frizzy.
  • Caused static in my hair.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend OGX Weightless Hydration Coconut Water Conditioner?
No, I wouldn’t! I have tried a lot of better stuff from OGX and would prefer the OGX Awapuhi Ginger Conditioner any time over this one. Also, this did not perform excellently, hence I will give it a skip.  Herbal Essences Hello Hydration is a perfect alternative for this, hence I would recommend that.
