Hey girls…
This review is going to be about one of the most important component of our daily skin care routine.
It is about a moisturizer. Now I’m sure all of you would agree completely with me when I said it is one of the most important step of skincare. Hence it is utterly important for us to make sure we choose the right product depending on our skin type.

And today’s review is going to be about one such product that has worked great for my skin.
It is from our very favorite skincare brand Olay and it is the Active Hydrating Cream Original. (I wonder why they call it the original, does it mean they have a dupe for it or something??..)
Anyways…coming back to the review…

About the product:
The motive of this cream is to provide hydration and moisturize your skin from deep. Hence the name..
duh??!!

Price: 5.10$ (app 285INR) for 2 oz or 56gms

Directions to use:
The instructions on the pack say “Smooth on to your face and neck everyday to help restore softer, smoother skin. Avoid direct contact with the eye” (Yes, it does sting a lot, I accidentally got it in to my eye once  )

My Experience with Olay Active Hydrating Cream, Original:
I have always loved Olay products because they have never failed me and really worked great for my skin. I tend to get a lot of dark spots, blackheads and uneven pigmentation on my face because my skin has a mind of its own and behaves differently based on its mood swings and this is really frustrating. Hence I need to make sure I am using the right kind of treatment when it comes to my moisturizers and Olay moisturizers have always done the job for me.

Having tried Olay total effects and Olay natural white I wanted to explore the brand a bit more and I got this next.

This cream is quite thick in consistency, comes in a tub pack which can be an issue for some, It is baby pink in color. But the packaging is super-strong. The cream is very smooth and once you massage this on to your skin it takes a few seconds, actually about 30-40 seconds for this to get absorbed completely in to your skin. Once absorbed it actually leaves a soothing and smooth feeling to my skin which I really enjoy.
But I would definitely warn oily skinned girls to stay away from this as it might leave you feeling very greasy and might feel heavy on your skin due to its thick consistency. The “hydrating” would work great only for dry-skin.

My final verdict for this would be that it has definitely improved my skin texture making it smoother and supple.

PROS of Olay Active Hydrating Cream, Original

1. Easy on the pocket
2. Provides deep moisturization
3. Leaves skin smooth and supple
4. Does not break me out
5. Quantity goes a long way.

CONS of Olay Active Hydrating Cream, Original

1. Not for all skin types, oily-skin girls need to stay away from it.
2. Tub packaging, not very hygienic.

Would I recommend it to a friend: Definitely Yes!!

Rating: 4/5 ( -1 as I feel the consistency could be a little more easy as the thick consistency sometimes leads to a greasy feeling)
