Am I getting old? During my college days, I used to find these products very fascinating and I used to wonder how different these products were. Olay was fairly a new brand in India then and is still much used by my mother. And now, when I have crossed 30, it’s my turn to start using this range of products. Though I have not noticed any thin, creased lines on my face, it is a better idea to start using now as an extra step is required to protect, nourish and guard your skin against visible wrinkles.
I read a few articles on skincare and found out that it is advised that one should start using anti-wrinkle products once they cross 30. I thought it’s little early, but it is important to start using now to minimise the distressing effects of aging skin. And when you think of an anti-wrinkle product, one brand which surely comes to your mind is Olay. Olay has mastered the segment of anti-wrinkle products and continuously receives a positive response from its loyal and new customers. So when I was at Superdrug store, checking moisturisers from L’Oreal, Garnier and Olay, I found this product with a dual element – hydration and primer. The description of the product is quite interesting and I picked up this for a trial. So, here is the review of Olay Anti-Wrinkle Firm & Lift Hydration + Primer (yes, I found this product’s name quite long as well!)

My Experience with Olay Anti-Wrinkle Firm and Lift 2 in 1 Hydration + Primer:
This product comes packaged in a thin cylindrical pump bottle wrapped in a simple dark purple carton. I like the packaging as it’s unventilated, handy and hygienic. It is a nice soft cream with a thin consistency and a smooth texture. It has a relatively fresh smell and is a perfect light weight cream.
As a Primer–
It sinks into the skin in a jiffy and acts well to provide a decent base for makeup. It doesn’t take any time to dry up and is instantly ready to sweep your cosmetics for the desired look. It has a light texture and thankfully, it creates a matte effect which works wonderfully for oily skinned beauties.
As a Moisturiser–
I think it’s basically a moisturiser with an added benefit of a primer. It keeps your skin well-hydrated, supple and nourished. I have an oily skin and so I was concerned about that thin oily surface on my skin but thankfully it is a non-greasy moisturiser. There is no tacky residue and it can last the entire day. I think it is perfect for a regular routine. Usually, for our regular routine, be it at work or elsewhere, we prefer not to rub our skin so much with layers of makeup. And in that case, this product helps. Just sweep in this moisturiser + primer, a few strokes of makeup and you are ready to go!
A slight downfall is that there is no SPF! So, yes the product features are good and they work too! About the fine lines and wrinkles being visibly reduced over time, I have not seen a big difference. But, it is a good product to start with.

Oh, why not! It is a good primer that moisturises well and is lovely for oily skinned beauties. Looks like this product will go a long way and yes I shall repurchase too.
