Dear beauties,
Although the winter is almost at its end, that doesn’t necessarily mean the dryness period is over too. Lack of adequate humidity leaches moisture out of the skin. To tackle this problem, it becomes imperative to incorporate at least one hydrating element in the daily skincare regime, irrespective of skin type.
Thus I am going to review Olay Aquaction Deep Hydrating Dew toner, which is one of my best winter buddies!

Product Description:

Formulated with multiple mineral ingredients like cuprum, zinc and magnesium similar to those in natural hot springs and plant extracts. This toner provides skin with nutrients and deeply moisturizes skin. It also helps skin to lock hydration, while continuously supplying moisture to give skin long-lasting hydration.

How to use:
Use after cleansing every morning and evening or anytime your face feels dry. Pour about 4-6 drops onto your palm. Rub palms together and press both hands softly against your face and neck to let the lotion absorb into your skin. Product may develop a small amount of precipitates which does not affect normal use.

Ingredients:
Water, Butylene Glycol, Dipropylene Glycol, Glycerin, Niacinamide, PEG-32, Polysorbate 20, Benzyl Alcohol, Methylparaben, Disodium EDTA, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Polyquaternium-39, Fragrance, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Xanthan Gum, Morus Alba Root Extract, Prunus Persica (Peach) Leaf Extract, SwertiaJaponica Extract, Magnesium Aspartate, Zinc Gluconate, Copper Gluconate.

My Experience with Olay Aquaction Deep Hydrating Dew:

Frankly there are very few toners in the market, which actually work on troubled oily/combination sensitive skin, without breaking it out badly.
But I believe this is one of the miracles in a bottle. Also it’s blue-colored bottle is very enticing (I am a sucker for pretty packaging :D).

bottle

It contains niacinamide or Vitamin B3 (my main reason for loving it), which improves skin elasticity, helps erase discolorations, and revives skin’s healthy tone and texture and can retain skin moisture. Not to mention it treats uneven skin tone and cure acne and the red marks that acne leaves behind. Most importantly, it does not break me out since it has ingredients, with comedogenicity lower than 1 (it’s a bonus too as most hydrating products in the market have a number higher than 3, which can easily lead to clogged pores!).

The toner is watery but its texture is a bit more viscous than water. It gets quickly absorbed as soon as applied. At night, after I cleanse, I usually saturate a cotton pad with this and use it all over my face and neck (coz I am too lazy to keep patting my face, till the toner is absorbed :P). And the next morning my face looks sooo dewy, with reduced redness and a radiant skin tone. It did irritate my skin a bit, in the beginning, but I didn’t give up!
I have been using it for 2 years now, during the wintery nights, and I must say, it has lived up to its claims!

So summing up all things said,

Pros of Olay Aquaction Deep Hydrating Dew:

• Non-comedogenic.
• Provides adequate hydration.
• Contains niacinamide.
• Lives up to its claims.

Cons of Olay Aquaction Deep Hydrating Dew:

• Contains methylparaben and alcohol, which can be irritating.
• Contains fragrance.
• Bottle is not travel friendly, as the toner might leak.
