Olay Clarity Fresh Cleanser Review

Olay Clarity Fresh Cleanser Review

Hi Lovely Ladies,

Today, I am going to review a face wash by Olay. I am quite into the experiment mode these days (though I am scared now as I am seeing a few breakouts).  I got it around a fortnight back when my mother bought her all-time favourite Olay Night Cream.  I couldnt resist myself from trying this face wash as it claimed to be for oily/combination skin. Read on further to find out how it fared on my expectations:

Price/Packaging/Quantity:

INR 69 for 50 gm.  It comes in the usual plastic tube with lavender coloured flip top cap. The cap is also screw type, so it can be opened either ways. The packaging is cute and sturdy though transparent or translucent body would have been much better than the opaque one.

My Take on Olay Clarity Fresh Cleanser:

Before I start with my experience, I would like to tell you all that I have oily and acne prone skin. Now, moving on to the face wash, it is an off white, cream-based face wash which spreads and lathers easily on the face. A very small quantity is needed for the face. It did not leave my skin stretchy or dry (as most face washes meant for oily skin do).  Also, there was no whitish cast or slimy feeling post washing my face. It did not clear the existing acne, but did not aggravate them. It has a pleasant smell which is not overpowering and does not stay on the face once it is washed.

This face wash did not live up to its claims as it did not remove even the basic make up, leave aside heavy make up. It did sting my eyes a bit when it went inside accidentally.  I am not complaining on that front as there is a warning on the tube which says to avoid contact with eyes. The oil control factor remained active for 2-3 hours only after which I had to use my oil blotting sheets.  All in all, it is a decent cleanser which would suit oily-skinned beauties, but can’t vouch the same for very oily skin.
