My experience with Olay Fresh Effects Shine, Shine Go Away! Shine Minimizing Cleanser:
Packaging:
The packaging of the Olay “Fresh Effects” collection is very different from the regular mature looking Olay packaging. This range looks young, fun and flirty. The face wash comes in a sturdy tube packaging with a flip cap. The tube is opaque and there is no way to know how much of the product is left inside.
Fragrance:
The face wash has a mild fragrance which is refreshing. Nothing which sensitive noses would mind.
Formula / Performance:
I have a combination skin – my T-zone is oily and my cheeks are normal. As a result, I am always struggling to find the right face wash. If I use something meant for oily skin, I invariably end up with stretched cheeks. And if I use something for normal skin for an extended period, blackheads start appearing on my nose.
The facewash has a thick consistency. It does not lather too much but is pretty effective in cleaning the face. My skin looks visibly cleaner and brighter after using this face wash. I love that it leaves my face shine-free but at the same time does not strip away any essential moisture due to the presence of kaolin (clay). I do not experience any dry or taut feeling after using this. It does not irritate the skin either.
Only a little quantity is needed and the tube is going to last me for quite some time.
To summarize, this is a pretty effective face cleanser especially for those with an oily skin and available at a very affordable price point. A perfect candidate to include in your daily cleansing routine.
